building construction (pool) lack of hot water (shower) No tea/ coffee making facilities in the rooms. Poor transport facilities to & from hotel (extortionate price) would recommend the hotel had their own minibus & driver for excursions for trips out. on the whole we had a wonderful time, the locals were nice people, Uncle, Osel, Miss Carol & Miss Angela very accommodating. Mount Zion is a beautiful place, would come back to stay with you again

Takuma Boutque Hotel is nestled amidst the lush hills of Jamaica. This boutique hotel is a true sanctuary for those seeking a serene authentic Caribbean experience. The room I stayed in had stylish furnishings and thoughtful touches that reflected the local culture. This hotel maintains an intimate and exclusive atmosphere that sets it apart from the larger resorts. Impeccable hosting service from Horane and great culinary traditions from chef Carol! This hotel is a hidden gem that offers a truly unforgettable experience.

The only downside was the fridge wasn’t functioning. The hot tub also wasn’t working and it took a while for hot water to flow in the shower. My rooms tv also wasn’t on but it was fixed after.

The customer service is very good. The breakfast and drinks were made very good. its a very intimate experience. I would definitely book again just not stay there on my own. My friends all stayed somewhere else and it was booked before I got a chance to order mines this was a very convenient alternative.

The bathtubs need to be cleaned better. You cant enter or leave without the main gate being operated by an employee. The outside of the facilities needs an update(bar & restaurant areas: main entrance area) I would not stay here alone if I book again but I definitely would book again if im staying in that city.

It was close proximity to the airport and it was spacious comfortably

It's the hidden cost ie paying for children separately and transfer and key even though the property was advertise on the website with all these items transfer breakfast and a extra £15 for children over 14 years of age even though the it states it for four guests I don't know why I was paying and extra £15 for my son

Beautiful property and breakfast was great, the host Orane is the best, he made our stay there great and I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes a quiet secluded get away from the rest of the island also they have a outside swimming pool, hot tub, bar, tennis courts, basketball court and even a outside big screen movie theatre, this is really paradise

Can’t really complain about anything, everything pretty much was on point the host attended to us and our needs the entire stay there and it was great

The staff was exceptional as were the views!!! Marvin and Orane doted on us like we were their daughters. We were cared for in every way. They were humble and kind. We felt very safe. Marvin cooked us the most flavorful and delightful meals from bean stew, brown stew chicken to vegetable rice and ackee and vegetables. We will definitely be back and will book a suite to share this unbelievable experience with family and friends. Thank you so much for everything!

The staff was very polite and helpful. Marvin was our host and he was exceptionally with his customer service. We ordered Jerk chicken which he cooked we liked it so much, we ordered it a second time. Marvin Clarke is a credit to the hotel service. He made our stay at the hotel a little bit more special.

The only downside is the location and a bit of loud music playing in a shop outside the hotel.

The location of the hotel, though not too far from the main road, felt quite remote. You got the sense of being high in the mountains but not to so far that you could see the wonderful panorama of the ocean. We checked in easily a were greeted by Coral, who is also the chef at the hotel. It is a hotel run on a smaller scale; friendly and personal service.

The road leading to the hotel is a little rough. The dogs on the property are definitely not the friendly type. They are there for early warning and protection, I suppose, but gave us an uneasy feeling. There was loud reggaetón music blaring from the adjacent business until about 10:30 PM. Our room faced this building, so it was very obtrusive and not relaxing. Breakfast was good, but not for everyone's taste. For the price, I expected more choice.

Location and the roads. It also needs a little entertainment for the guest at the property. There are basic things missing from rms like closet and mirrors

If you want a stay in a hotel with an authentic Jamaican experience (located in the Mount Zion community) then I highly recommend Takuma, the staff were very friendly and made every effort to please. Although the owners do not live on the island it also a Jamaican owned resort so I would definitely come back and recommend.

It’s quirk is also it’s let down. If you do not drive then it is far from the town centre but staff will get a trusted local taxi to transport down to the beach and Mo Bay centre
