It is a bit far away from the train station. The transportation here is not very convenient but you can get a taxi from the train station and it is about 15 minutes ride here. The facility is very big with streamlined infrastructure for hot spring vacations especially for elders and families. So it is very customer friendly but feels more industrialized than intimate Japanese hot spring ryokan. This is very much like a typical American big beachside hotel, with the beach replaced by hot spring. So the stay is comfortable but not very memorable. The outdoor hot spring does have great view though.

Our room was much bigger than expected and very convenient. The buffet dinner and buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and even vegetarian dishes. The outdoor onsen, with its multi-level pools, was a great experience. The location is not within walking distance of major tourist attractions, but that’s probably to be expected for a ryokan that mainly serves Japanese guests.

Arriving by car is essential.

Dinner and breakfast buffet was pretty good with snow crab buffet for dinner during the winter. We were spoilt for choices but found that the desserts were the real deal and it was all so delicious. Overall, the meals were acceptable for buffets and we would have it again if we have to. Highlight of the stay would definitely be the onsen for my family, as they switch both male and female bath house the next morning. Entrance to the onsen were beautiful as well. We also enjoyed ourselves in the game room as there were quite a few games including mario racekart which me and my wife had a superb time at.

There were a lot of tourists during our stay but thankfully not the rowdy kind so it was all good :) the only real downside, and not applicable for all but only the superstitious visitors, would be that the hotel is established next to a cemetery, it is not so obvious but definitely wouldn't be able to unsee it once noticed.

The reception rooms and lounges were large and comfortably furnished with free coffee for guests. The location was excellent for exploring the city and there was a lovely mountain road behind the hotel leading up to the peak through lush forests. The highlight was the fabulous hot and cold food provided at the expansive buffet at breakfast and dinner. The quality and selections were outstanding. The dining room also had a wonderful view over the city and the valley below.

Although the room is relatively big, the toilet is still the most common module type, which is quite small, not proportional to the size of the room.

The onsen is great.

The carpark for guest is faraway due to renovation to existing carpark, causing inconvenience for unnecessary transfer provided by hotel. The tatami room has inadequate space to put luggage’s.

Great onsen terrace, fantastic room with nice view. Huge hotel entrance. The atmosphere is great for couple and family holiday makers. A nice gift shop with many to choose from with fair price and capsule toys machines!

The food and beverage could be better. Some night events / themes could bring the hotel more experience value and local experience.

The breakfast was traditional Japanese for the most part with some Western foods - lots of options and selections. The room was decent size and the bathroom seems to be the same size regardless of hotel stayed in.

Nice facilities especially public baths, great breakfast and dinner.

Only little thing. I was stuck in snow, tried calling the hotel but found difficulties in communications; however, the hotel managed to call police and be able to help me eventually. I know that the hotel team feels regret but they did their best to help me on that night.

The place was clean and beautiful. Staff were all friendly. The foods were great, except a few suggestions. The bath was great.

Still loved everything, but some foods can improve more. I.e. quality of the noodles, more choices of pickled vegetables,
