The outdoor private onsen was pleasant surprise! Very good experience ! The welcome drinks and snacks was so good and the drinks in the evening were better than some of the sake and shochu that I have paid for . And the massage chair in the amusement room was better than the renowned Osim massage chair . Staff were most helpful in making sure we had a good time . Loved the spacious room. Also this hotel’s yukata was the most comfortable I had in the last 10 days traveling in Japan

Without car would be hard to get to.

From check-in to check-out, I was able to make full use of the app for a very smooth stay. As a result, We were able to enjoy a hotel stay with consideration for privacy. The view of Beppu Bay from our room was beautiful and very relaxing. We stayed for two nights and on the second day, a different main dish was served for breakfast which made us feel the spirit of Japanese hospitality.

Everything was excellent. Food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Public onsen was quite nice too. Location makes the bus to the Ropeway very accessible.

There was an air conditioner control but you can only set it between off, low, medium, and high. No temperature control. Concrete walls made the interior seem a little less friendly.

Very spacious and comfortable room with nice view over Beppu. The welcome snacks and drinks on the terrace were a really lovely way to start the evening. Breakfast was quite elegant if you like Japanese style breakfast, but maybe wouldn’t be suitable if you prefer western food. Very good value.

Not easy to find or go in the entrance if driving a car. Maybe signage could be better as the entrance is in quite an awkward spot.

Loved the welcome drinks and snacks service, that was one of the nicest I have ever experienced. The breakfast was lovely. Staff was very professional and helpful. The facility itself feels a little bit cold, but honestly that was the whole vibe of the city, it feels like its peak had already passed a little bit. Nevertheless we had a lovely stay!

Price and distance from everything. Nothing close by - need to take bus everywhere or taxi.

the bar is amazing and the free snacks are too you have a place to sit outside and its super cozy and unique, the fireplaces outside is an amazing feature ive never seen anywhere and the room was big

Great traditional japanese dinner and breakfast, and a cute patio&lounge with sake and snacks for the guests. The onsen was great and clean The staff was really sweet and polite!

Loved the onsen, traditional breakfast, clean and quiet, nice view of the city and coast.

Beds were very hard, I didn't mind, partner found it difficult to be comfortable. Location out of town, great if you have a car. Upside, near a bus stop that takes you to the ropeway and Yufuin.

Welcome drinks include alcohol, great breakfast, private onsen, big room, helpful staffs.

Room a bit too dim, not really able to use the balcony as there will be insects flying in. 5mins walk from bus stop, take note of the slope.
