The room was spacious for two people and the bath and kitchen facilities were very good and well equipped. There was a washing machine with washing liquid and hair dryer, straighteners, shampoo, cond, cleanser and face products which was a welcome surprise. The key entry and hot water system was confusing at first but the staff were friendly and showed me how to do these. The only problem is the noise from the railway the property backs onto. You need ear plugs, which they supplied, if you are not used to noise and the trains started at 5am. But the location was good apart from that. 2 minutes from the beach and places to eat. Spotlessly clean and you could be independent and feel like it was your apartment.

For the price it was very good.

Access to the train station, convenience stores, restaurants, and the beach for a reasonable price were the reasons I chose this accommodation. As a bonus I was hoping to surf and there was a surf rental shop practically next door. This allowed me to not have to worry about what to do with my valuables. The shop even lent me a bike that had a surfboard carriage. Additionally it is an easy access to Enoshima Island. The room size was adequate with air conditioning and a small table to place stuff or work from. All the locks are code based so there's no need to worry about carrying or losing a key. Location, location, location!

Outside the room, the space is very small so the shared sink was right outside the door which limits the privacy of anyone dying their hair, washing their face or brushing their teeth. The showers were tiny with the shower head aiming at the accordion door causing some water leakage to the outside of the shower. The slippers were horrible as they all made of vinyl that stuck to your feet causing the bottom front half to detach each time you took your feet out.

The guest house in conveniently located close to major train stations. The owner and staff are so humble and helpful. After checking out I wanted to leave my luggage at the place until my estimated time to return back, and he was soo cool about it. The place is clean, no curfew time at night after checking in which is a plus point. Also all basic pots and pans are provided incase you want to cook. As a female solo traveler I felt super happy for choosing this place.

I wish they provided the basic necessities such as towels, toiletries included in the room rate without charging a fee.

Both locations are right across from each other so easy to find if you go to the wrong location at first. Easy entry keypad and easy check in. I wish there was a space to hold my luggage for the day, but I knew when booking that it was mostly unmanned. It was very quiet which is good for resting, and the upstairs kitchen and lounge was clean and comfortable. Good sized women’s only dorm room and the bed space was roomy. Lockers provided in room for baggage as well as space under the lower bunks. For someone who needed a clean and quiet space to sleep for the night, it was good! But if you want a more social hostel, this place isn’t for you. Very close to the nearest train station as well!

The property was extremely close to enoshima and the train station. It was extremely clean for the most part and had an amazing guest lounge. The guest lounge has manga to read and games to play. The whole room is very soundproof and stops a lot of the noise. The staff was very kind and helpful. Ensuring that there was no problems with my stay. He would turn up the ac as he saw there were people in the guest lounge.

I stayed on the top very right bunk which was farthest from the AC. This made it hot sometimes during the night but not unbearable.

The Annex for female only is very nice, clean, warm, comfortable and has a kitchen to use. The other house is not so nice, smells of damp and the lounge area is in the basement, cold and dark. The location is excellent close to beach, train station and shops.

Unfortunately, the staff does not speak English and therefore communication is super difficult. Also I requested late check-out which they denied even though the hostel was almost empty.

The upstairs common area was really nice

Was prssent for part of the cleaning upstairs and the upstairs vaccuming was very lacklustre. They are stingy with green tea that's free - dorm was always full and the private rooms appeared occupied most of rhe time but there was only ever a max of 3 green teas. The dorm room smelled like BO. I think it's the actual bedding that stunk

Directions to the dorm were useful and the self check-in was easy to do. Female dorm room and bathroom are clean and well furnished - the annex lounge is very comfortable and aesthetic. Easy to use the washing machine and dryer.

As the dorm is conveniently located near the Katase-Enoshima station, noises made by the train could be heard until 11pm. There is only one toilet and you have to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Our room is the only double size bed room in this homestay, on the 1st floor, right beside the check-in place. The other rooms (a twin room and a dormitry room) were on the 2nd floor. There are sharing toiletes, and 2 shower rooms. Shoes are not allowed to wear inside so the floor (and the whole place) is relatively clean. At first I worried about the noise and privacy, but during the stay I felt it was quite cozy and not very noisy---unless you are very sensitive to sounds (such as the rain dripping on the roof, the slippers, etc.) Speaking honestly the room was small, not able to squeeze a big suit case (if you happen to have one) inside and open it. It is good for backpack travelers who just want a bed to rest and spend most of the time outdoor. The living room downstairs (at B1F) was big enough for eating, chatting, and even playing PingPong LOL. We found an interesting book, bilingual, introduding Japanese culture---very fascinating. The location was excellent, very close to the beach, the Enoshima isle, and the 3 different type railway's stations. The staff here was friendly and the self-help check-in process was not very complicated (not like some tourists mentioned).

Not big enough but cozy for rest and friendly to backpack travelers.
