Location was great, situated between Hakata and Tenjin, two major shopping districts. It was easy for us to walk to the shopping areas and drop our shopping bags back at the hotel when we were tired. Only bone to pick is that it is a short 7-min walk to the nearest train station, which may be a tad far if carrying many heavy luggages. Hotel provided complimentary buffet breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The spread was amazing and food tasted really good. Staff was helpful when we needed to call a cab, and was prompt in seating us for our meals. Staff always made us feel welcome. Facilities and amenities were good. There was also a humidifier in the room that was really helpful in maintaining moisture levels in the room.

The hotel is better than it looks in the photos. The El Dorado main room for dining and relaxing was very quiet, thanks to great design, and welcoming. The beautiful flowers on the tables closer to reception made the space look so inviting. The room we had was very spacious by Japanese hotel standards. The armchairs were definitely form over function, same with the desk chair, but the bed was the best in Kyushu. So big, so comfortable! Staff were excellent in all encounters, with warm, friendly conversations that made you feel welcome. Best hotel staff we encountered in Kyushu. Many thanks for the early check in too! Easy location to get around. I felt spoilt staying at Il Palazzo.

We fell ill after eating lunch at the buffet the day we checked it. Thankfully this did not occur when we ate at breakfast and snacked one evening.

Hotel Il Palazzo instantly won the hearts of my whole family. The buffet meals, served from 11 AM to 9 PM, offered a great selection and were absolutely delicious, with impeccable service throughout. Given the price, it’s an amazing bargain for the quality and service provided. The hotel is incredibly stylish and artistic, with beautiful details, vibrant colors, and thoughtful design—everything from the round-shaped lamp at room level to the chocolate box, coffee bag, and coaster was perfectly designed and crafted. The bathroom is great, with a bathtub, and the sliding door between the room hallway and bedroom serves as a perfect divider for added privacy. It felt like staying in an art museum, which truly elevated the experience. The location is great, tucked away in a quiet alley yet right in the heart of a bustling area. I’ll definitely come back—this is the only place I would stay in Fukuoka in the future. Highly recommend!

Our room was spacious and clean with an extremely comfortable bed. I especially enjoyed the spacious bathroom since it's so unusual to find in any hotel room. The amazingly varied and delicious buffet breakfast was icing on the cake. Il Palazzo is a gem!

The awkward front entrance where you need walk a descending catwalk to an elevator to get to the lobby to then take another elevator to your floor. It's weird, but there's another entrance to avoid that, so it's not an issue at all. I really disliked the fact that the heater kept turning on to 25 degrees Celsius. I was trying to set it to 20 and it would never, ever stay there.

Very cool hotel with clean, modern rooms. Breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed the balcony. Great location in downtown Fukuoka, short walk to yatai food stalls, river, and downtown, and longer walk to the city park.

From the moment I walked in, the design immediately stood out—beautifully curated with a thoughtful use of color and lighting that created a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Every corner of the hotel felt intentional and visually striking. Beyond the aesthetics, the service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. You don't get to see the General Manager on-duty for over 12-hour a day and help clearing tables these days. The free all-day buffet presentation was a surprise. Have to praise the chef for keeping the food quality throughout the day. Overall, the delivers both in style and service, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Bring the check in forward from 4pm to 3pm

Very cozy and very quiet place. Breakfast is good but everyday same. I lived there for 7 days and feeling good on first two days then little bit enough for the breakfast. Room service did perfectly and you goona have a clean room like first day to cames. Bed is big and well for couple.

For me I think the price is little expensive. There are no laundry machine inside the room and laundry service price is rediculous high. Pairs of stocks cost you 400 yen. One more thing is you cannot see the canals during the night time that's won't be good if you come for photograph.

Location was excellent. Hotel is 3 mins walk from the Nakasu Yatai Food Stall Street, walking distance to Hakata Station and shopping areas. There are also a number of nice restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. Hotel is well maintained and rooms are very clean. Complimentary breakfast and full-day dining till 9pm was a huge plus. The front desk staff spoke good English and was very patient when assisting us make reservation at nearby French restaurant.

Whilst full-day dining was great, it will be appreciated if the dishes can be changed every day. The soup, pasta, salad and mains were not changed for 3 days.

Almost everything! Our room was huge by Japanese standards and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size with great smelling toiletries. We also loved the very cosy pyjamas! The breakfast and all day dining included in the price of the room was excellent value for money. Obviously the Aldo Rossi design is fantastic and the newly refurbished interiors are sleek and modern. The hotel is in a great location with literally hundreds of restaurants at your disposal. We’ll be back!

There are a few minor things that don’t work the most obvious being the lift - just one for the whole hotel. The hotel bar is integrated into the reception desk which is a curious concept. Also there’s no gym!

The design of the hotel is excellent. very clean and comfy.

The staff of the hotel could be better trained. I went down to have breakfast in the morning, the staff who led guests to the table wasn't there. While I found a table and sat down, a male staff came over and told me I couldn't sit there and abruptly said: "Are you staying here? this hotel?" It was unclear what led him to question me in such a manner, and there was no apology offered afterward. The interaction left me feeling very uncomfortable. I understand this hotel may attract visitors who aren’t staying, but there should be a better system in place to manage this. Guests who are staying at the hotel should not have to experience such treatment.
