Information brochures in English. Great amenities. Staff was very helpful during check-in and helped me fill in the registration card. Staff spoke some English and spoke slowly and clearly in Japanese to help me understand everything. Very great staff! Best breakfast I've had in a Japanese hotel. I couldn't believe how many options there were. It was unexpected and delicious! Drink station was available for use during the day at no charge.

Very convenient if you're going to see Fukuyama Castle or want to be close to the station to go via bus to Tomonoura for example. There is a mall nearby, a traditional 50s, 60s type shopping quarter too, and Fukuyama Station itself has a lot of stores and restaurants, so you can get anything you need. There is also a full grocery store on the B1 floor a couple of steps from the hotel, and an Animate as well for anyone interested in Japanese manga and gamer culture.

No particular problems. Be careful, the breakfast is mainly Japanese dishes, with some Western stuff, so plan ahead if you're not that into Japanese cuisine! Also: You can choose various plus amenities on the 8th floor reception of the hotel, but the shampoo, conditioner etc. are already in your room, so don't bother scrounging for those.

Richmond breakfasts are a primary reason why we chose this hotel. They are diverse, flavorful, and interesting, since they include both traditional and modern fare. The room was one of the most spacious we've seen in Japan, and looks quite modern. We actually came to this town of many in the area near Onomichi and Kurashiki especially to stay at this hotel. The basement of the complex the hotel is part of is a supermarket that had great values for travelling on the train the next day.

Nothing comes to mind, although it is a bit strange the reception floor is so high up. Everything otherwise was good.

The hotel is close to the station, which is a short trip to Onomichi and Shimanami Kaido. There is also a grocery store next door. It was very convenient to explore Fukuyama while staying at the Richmond Hotel.

The room we stayed in had a gap between the bath and the wall, which allowed water to get trapped and cause mildew to form. There was only a laundry on two floors so we had to change floors to access the laundry.

Close to station, several English speaking staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed, drink bar available throughout the day, close to conbini’s and a grocery store.

I don’t like that the aircon points at the desk so if you’re sitting, it’ll blow on you but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

5 mins walk from the train station. A slightly newer hotel with nicer designed rooms than older budget hotels. Worth paying a little bit extra for. Supermarket next door. Traditional Udon noodle bar & Co Co Curry branch on the hotel side of the station.

Layout of the room was exceptionally thoughtful. The breakfast was excellent. This was the least expensive hotel that I selected from Tokyo to Hiroshima. It turned out to be an outstanding hotel with easy access to a most beautiful castle.

Big room, clean and with great AC and air purifier/humidifier which made the stay comfortable. Location was perfect for traveling since it's very close to the station. We stayed on the top floor (16) so it was quiet and we had a good night sleep before picking up some breakfast and having it in the castle park which is less than 5 min away.

The reception/lobby was very hot when we checked in and out for some reason. (The rest of the hotel was very comfortable though.)

Location is really nice and convenient. It's near the train and bus stations, supermarket, convenience store, malls and restaurant. Breakfast is Japanese and Western, it's quite good. What I like most is their free bar mainly because of the hot weather. The staff are helpful.

Stayed there for one night. the front desk is on the 8th floor.The location is very good , with lots of restaurants and shops around, friendly stuff . Nice sight from the hotel room .
