Great location, stayed on either end of our Shimani Kaido bike ride (first and third night). Not only did they upgrade our room both nights we were there, the second night was the same exact room as the first, adding great familiarity. They also kept our bags for us while we were gone for the night on the bike ride, and the bags were in our room when we checked in. Great washer/dryer too.

Modern (small but cozy) room in very good condition, great location, and with great staff. The staff that cleaned our room also neatly arranged some of our items and did other smaller things. We felt very welcomed, and I would definitely book again! The hotel is very close to the train station and to Fukuyama castle. A convenient store is close by.

The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful from start to finish. The air-conditioner worked very well to beat the summer heat. The room had a high-quality atmosphere with traditional paper windows that were surprisingly effective at blocking outside light and a fancy round table. The hotel is very convenient for those coming from Fukuyama Station.

The pillow was a little hard as is common in many Japanese hotels.

We used this as a base to do the Shimanami Kaido cycling route and therefore only needed basic facilities. The hotel was clean, modern and fairly comfortable. It was great being so close to the station to easily get to and from the cycle route.

Tiny room (like most hotels in Japan), and smallest double bed I’ve experienced. It worked fine for us for the two nights.

Access to the building was only up stairs, carrying bags was a hassle, not sure if there was an accessible option.

I absolutely love staying at sunhotel. I've stayed there twice now and will always stay when I visit fukuyama. The staff are super friendly and very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay amazing.

A great location , a very short walk from the train station and so close to the buses for exploring. Breakfast was wonderful and lots of great places close by to eat .

Don't like the entrance, need to carry the lugguage to walk steps to enter hotel.
