The room was quite big, we stayed in the western/japanese style room, it had ample space, and the view from the room was also really good.

It felt like the room given how big it was, should have had more than just a fridge placed in the corner of the room and a hot water kettle placed in the japanese portion of the room. You could also tell that the room was quite tired and could do with a refresh as there were water stains on the roof and the lighting in the room was also not the best. Overall, given the space of the room, a lot of the space was just wasted.

This place is very close to Yubatabe, the center of Kusatsu. It has its own bathing area, both inside and outside. It also has a sister location with another bath area, but I didn’t go to that. A shuttle is provided for access. You get a bed, yukatas, a heater, a water heater, and a KOTATSU! I never tried a kotatsu before so that was neat. You get some other things among those

The place appears run down and not well maintained. The main areas are fine and the rooms a vacuumed well, but the walls have damages and out of the way spots in your room have sticky dust. The bathroom also smelled a little weird.

It's very vintage it's located right next to the famous Yubatake site. (Some rooms have the view on it!) Because it's own by the same corporation, you can have access to the public bath of 3 other hotels in the area.

The rooms are very clean, but it is very old. Outside the room you can see deep traces of time; most of them not repaired.

Close to the town centre, super easy access. Hotel was nice and had it's own onsen which was large and accommodated a lot of the guests that stayed there. Staff set up the futons for you and have snacks upon your arrival. There is a 7/11 in the centre of town but I recommend exploring the side streets to find mom & pop shops for snacks too.

I didn't find an issue with it but it is an older building and you can hear the wood creaking sometimes which can be spooky when you are alone in a dark room in the middle of the night.

The hotel is located in the heart of Kusatsu town and enjoyed the illuminated night Yubatake which is a few steps from the front door. We had a nice view from the large room with a table and chairs and a tatami room, good value. They had shuttle bus to take us to another nearby sister hotel to experience different Onsen.

Right in the middle of the village, complete with onsen, Japanese style rooms, beds and free kimono robes to use.

Bathroom a bit old but didn’t really matter as used the bathing facilities in the onsen.

Above expectation. Large size of the room Friendly staff. Full facility. Middle of town, easy to access everyplace. Plenty of breakfast. No bad smell, even in thr smoking room.

Quite old. It would be much better if the hotel renovated.

The location is excellent, the buffet dinner and breakfast are also excellent . The price is very reasonable, but the hotel is outdated. Overall, it is a great experience.

The location can't be beat, short walk from the train station and built onto the side of a hill for a spectacular view.

The in-house restaurants are a bit pricey (but lots of variety)

Location is fantastic. The buffet lines and dining area is well managed despite the huge number of guests. Room is spacious and clean and the onsen facility is great.

Parking is offsite with free shuttle to hotel. Would have been good to know this prior.
