Even it was cold, there where heaters in room + the warm blanket made the stay comfortable so all heaters can be turned off during night. It gave a local vibe and experience. The onsen fits 1-2people, so it needs to be booked which is great , so it’s private. Also the water was very warm- as expected for Kusatsu. Even the hotel didn’t serve breakfast on that day, it was great that there was a coffee. It’s in short walking distance from bus station and all else.

Could me more than one pillow. Room was cold, but with running heaters it got warm.

- very convenient location - great value for the money - clean and warm rooms (visited in winter) - 2x private Onsen rooms available for guests free of charge - covered parking for the car - very cozy dining room with wood stove and free coffee in the morning

- the place seemed a bit under staffed. During check out there were multiple guests waiting. The staff seemed always very busy, rushing with everything. Otherwise we had a very good impression of the Hotel and will definitely consider it again in the future.

Excellent location. Very short walk from the bus interchange and Yubatake. The boss and staff are very helpful in assisting us with the luggage forwarding service by TA Q Bin. Greatly appreciate their help on this! Staff have been attentive and helpful. The staff speak English, hence it also made communication easier for us. There is washing machine and heater available which we are able to wash our clothing. We originally thought we have to bring the clothing to a laundry shop. 2 onsen baths are available for private use within the hotel.

NA (Do note that the onsen water is higher temperature at Kusatsu : around 48 degree)

It’s very near to the tourist spot yubatake. The hotel has 2 private onsen bath. The hotel feels like a boutique hotel. Really nice stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. For those driving, can park at the public carpark and the staff will give you a complimentary overnight parking that valid from 3pm to 10am the next day.

The narrow road. So better to park the car at the public carpark and walk to this property. Will save you lots of hassle and heart stopping moments.

This hotel is located really close to the main area in Kusatsu, but isn't actually on it, so it's quiet but also convenient - it's small, but the price is right. It had the hottest onsen I have ever been in - easily 45 degrees Celsius, maybe even hotter - and it's private and just about the right size for two people. The room was comfortable and the wifi was good!

Parking at this hotel, much like driving in Kusatsu generally, is insane. The fact that it has parking is nice, but the act of doing the parking (and unparking when you leave) is nerve-wracking.

The staff was exceptional. It’s an old building but they kept it very clean. They made sure the air-conditioning and air-purifying units were spotless. The bed was comfortable. There was a small safe for valuables and even a kettle and tea set in the room. The hotel itself is centrally located, although having said that, it’s just a small town so it’s easy to walk everywhere. For those wanting the extras, there are plenty of other hotels offering bigger rooms and an onsen within the hotel but you’ll also have to pay for those extras. This place is perfect for a short stay in an onsen town.

They only have one kind of pillow and it was too soft/flat for me. The bathroom is on the small side and the shower area is functional but small. The WiFi is unusable for most of the day.

The hotel was so accommodating the workers were so kind always present and putting our windshield wipers up for us so they didn’t freeze. Heated blankets plus heaters in the room so we stayed warm. Hot water takes a minute to come through but they have a sign stating that. The parking in kusatsu is limited as a whole, we had rented a car but everything was pretty much within walking distance! Such a convenient location.

The only thing was we assumed they’d have breakfast every morning but no worries plenty of cafes around

last minute booking, all of the hotel at kusatsu onsen are fully booked, I did not expect much. However the hotel end up quite good. Spacious room especially for the 3 bed room. The bed come with heated blanket. Free wifi but nowadays all hotel have free wifi. Good location, hotel located in between Bus station and yubatake (city center)

No vending machine in the hotel. Need to go out of hotel to buy anything. Still use old phisical key to open the door which kind of irritating because only one key per room.

The hotel is just a short walk from the bus terminal, and close to the town center. It provided a clean basic room that we needed for the night. The free morning coffee was surprisingly good. We took the 4pm bus from Tokyo and it was well passed 8pm when we arrived, but the staff waited for us because we have already let the hotel know of our late arrival. It is not easy to find a hotel that accepts late check in the area.

It is not a perfect hotel but for the price that we pay, it meets our expectation.

Really hospitable staff. The owner really goes the extra mile to make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one. Really big room, and the bed was plenty big enough for two people. The supplied Yukata were a lovely little touch. The room was well air conditioned, quiet, and clean. On the Sunday, there was a delicious breakfast which would put a lot of higher priced hotels to shame. The location is as convenient as it gets, just a 3 min walk from Yubatake and 5 mins from the bus terminal and most other places. I will definitely try to book this hotel again if I visit Kusatsu again.
