Very nice accommodation with a lovely onsen built in. There is a shuttle bus service which is perfect but it's also not a long walk from the town centre.

Their tattoo policy isn't clear on here so I will note it for people: their onsen within the hotel doesn't allow for tattoos but you can purchase skin coverings for around 900¥ each. They are just a bit bigger than an A5 piece of paper so it can be expensive to try and cover everything but once they are on they stay on for a few days. The main onsens in town are tattoo friendly.

A 10 minute walk (mostly uphill) from the Kusatsu Bus Terminal with helpful staff and a shuttle bus to the Yubatake town center for convenience. The included outdoor onsen is also a huge plus for those who want to immediately dive into relaxing in hot springs. The free to use yukata and geta sandals provided by the hotel is also a nice touch for those who want to really immerse in staying in an onsen village. The traditional Gunma-styled breakfast is also a great way to get into Gunma cuisine.

Wont recommend people to travel to the hotel on foot after hours of travel by bus/train/plane even though Google maps indicate it's just 10 minutes away from the Bus Terminal simply because it's a somewhat steep uphill location. Location from the nearest convenience store is a bit inconvenient due to the uphill roads. Wifi connection is a bit inconsistent for those who might want to do a bit of work on the computer.

The Japanese room is spacious and the outdoor onsen is nicer than many other hotels. We had a great time there. The shuttle bus is very convenient. The hotel is actually very big witha library, a table tennis room and and a shop.

The breakfast and dinner is set menu instead of a buffet style.

The outdoor obsen was very nicely decorated with beautiful trees and landscapes. The shared bathroom is very pleasant and clean. The reception is very friendly. They gave you nice bath clothes and cute baskets for your onsen experience. Will come back again.

The non smoking room has smoky smell so I have to open the window.

Good value for the money. Surprise that table tennis was at extra charge... Food is GREAT. Facility is old but OK. Rotemburo is really good. Water is very rich with minerals. That is the best point. Bus to the Kusatsu center but walking is also 10-15 minutes, quite enjoyable.

Well, you can not improve rooms, so may be do more on a free-of-charge entertainment.

Western style room was great! The tatami room had ample room for several futons, in addition to a couple beds outside the tatami room. Open concept with sliding doors was great for our group (6 people) so we can chat and hangout freely, and slide the doors shut at night for privacy. Breakfast was good. The outdoor onsen was really nice.

Japanese style room was dirty and did not include a private bath tub or shower.

The onsen was great, especially since I liked the outdoor onsen. The atmosphere was beautiful and very private. The onsen is open almost all night. It is close to the center of the town and the room was clean and already arranged for us when we arrived.

Amazing onsens with outdoor, indoor baths as well as a sauna. Traditional Tatami style and spacious for a couple.

It’s old, and the entrance hall doesn’t look like such. But for the price you get more than expected and again onsen there is great.

Amazing stay. We enjoy our stay very much. Great hospitality, polite and helpful staffs, amazing view from our room and outside, good location. The has shuttle bus for guests who are going to Yubatake or the central. We had a huge room. Japanese combine with western. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
