It was a great stay. Loved the room with the bath tub. Free yukata use and great amenities. The location is a pleasant 10-minute walk to the Yubatake on quiet small roads, which was interesting, especially on the night we stayed when it snowed. (Magical!) Big sized room, comfy beds, friendly staff. All good.

Only 2 minor points, if I'm being picky... The bathroom smelt a bit damp and mouldy (but it was clean!) and am sure the smell was just because its difficult to dry the wooden floor in there. And, the neighbouring room woke me up with their antics at 1am, so I think the walls are thin. It's a Japanese "problem". Not a deal breaker and I'd still stay again. The positives definitely outweigh those small negatives.

Love everything about the hotel. The room was huge.

Takes about 15 minutes to walk to town.

You have international public. You could make an effort to offer a more international buffet. All in Japanese, impossible to understand, at least a translation.

For breakfast the scrambled eggs were almost raw, I suppose to the Japanese taste. I asked politely the waiter to ask the cook them a little bit more for me. The cook answered NO. Plain like that. I was impressed and angry. For the price I payed for two nights (approx. 750 usd) you could’ve at least changed my sheets and towels, you didn’t. Your employees are polite, but not fully trained. Last thing, important, when checking out today (December 28th, 2023) they forgot to give me a receipt and I was in a hurry to get my taxi. This things can’t happen in a serious house.

Although it was a quiet place, it is close to the center area so once you go back to your room you can relax and enjoy your Onsen.

The hills are a bit too steep near the area.
