Very good location close to main station and restaurant quarter. Staff was very lovely, helpful and heartwarming friendly. There’s a broad variety of amenities including even hair wax and face masks (we had a beauty night together with our kids though!). Breakfast was fantastic! Very good choice of Japanese specialties including rice, miso, tsukemono, karaage, fried fish, salad and other vegetables with a variety of dressings and the local eel with Teriyaki sauce - so delicious!!! But there are also “Western” things on the buffet like scrambled eggs and sausages. And - for those who only want a couple of drinks and a quick bite in the evening: there is even a Happy Hour with beer, Highballs and Softdrinks and Onigiri, also with the local eel.

The only two things we have to criticise are the lack of real options to make the rooms dark (there are curtains but they are not really dark) and the lack of noise reducing windows. There must be a hospital or a fire ward close by, as we heard the ambulances driving by the whole night. Please work on that and the stay will be perfect!

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread is one of the best that we had experienced too. Location is great. Amenities are provided for.

One of the rooms facing the road was extremely noisy (poorly sound proofed). We could hear the traffic light sounds throughout the entire day. Rooms could be more well lit. The other room had a big problem with a smelly odor coming out from the bathroom drainage that we couldn't get rid of. We could only park our car in the multistory carpark next door which was full most of the time, and have to waste some time waiting at the entrance of the carpark for other cars to exit before we could enter. Breakfast variety is exactly the same over all 3 days, which can get unexciting quickly if you were to stay for long.

I liked everything about this hotel. The location was great, just a 10 minute walk from the main train station and 10 minutes in the other direction to Hamamatsu Castle. The breakfast in the mornings was delicious (fyi: but difficult for vegetarians). The room itself was big enough to keep my luggage open during my stay here. AC worked perfectly and there was even a humidifier. I can really recommend this hotel!

The bathroom was a little small but honestly, I didn't mind. It was clean, had hot water and the toilet seat was always warm 😄

The hotel isn't too far away from Hamamatsu station and close to or rather in the main area. The room was clean and had all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay, the bed was comfortable too. There's an amenity bar where you can take stuff like face wash, razors etc., which was really nice. The staff was friendly.

The breakfast buffet was good but the room it was in was kind of small, so you couldn't really walk if there were some other people.

The staff were friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I really enjoyed the breakfast provided here, the ochazuke had a nice spread of toppings. They also had a onigiri night snack service. Good variety of amenities provided in the lobby.

The room was a bit small typical for business hotels. I had only one suitcase so it didn't pose a problem. Bit of a walk from Hamamatsu station if that's an issue.

I spent a little over 3 weeks with the lovely staff at Hotel Act Garden. Because I was staying for so long and just needed a place to sleep (I was in Hamahatsu for work) I wanted a place that was well-priced and didn't need a whole lot of extra facilities (Gyms etc.). The hotel represents excellent value for money, the comfort & cleanliness levels were very good, and the staff were amazing. Definitely recommend!

Staff, breakfast, value, cleanliness, comfort.

The staff is wonderful, especially the breakfast crew; kindness and attention is a must with them. The hotel is very new, everything looks nice. You have everything you need at your hand: near the station and the central area with restaurants and so on...

The room could be a little bigger, but it's a detail. I stayed for a whole month, so after a while you get used to it and feel comfortable as if it were a suite. :)

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The cost was great! The staff were very accomodating when we wanted to stay another night & check out late. They let us leave our bags before check in & delivered them to the room for us. They have one of the bigger rooms we’ve stayed in Japan. The free breakfast is excellent with a mix of western and Japanese available (udon, miso, curry, rice, bacon & eggs, croissant, cereal, coffee & juice).

Our first room we stayed in had a smaller bathroom so it was a bit tight, but still serviceable.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location is fairly close to the station with plenty of restaurants nearby.

There's only one elevator for the hotel so there were times you'd have to wait a couple of minutes. Also, we had two rooms but for some reason the elevator didn't allow me to get to the floor the other room was on. Other than that, I have nothing else to complain about during my stay here.

Lovely clean rooms, and all facilities were excellent. I loved the happy hour. Laundry facilities were great, and I enjoyed being able to help myself to bathroom products (e.g. lotions, razer, face mask, etc.). Staff were so helpful and attentive.
