The hotel, staff and surrounding countryside could not have been better. The food and the onsen were also fabulous, I only discovered the outdoor hot spring on the last night and was in heaven bathing in the healing spring water whilst listening to nature in the lush green vegetation. Despite having limited Japanese language and understanding of the etiquette we were very warmly welcomed and taken care of. Thank you Ibusuki Royal Hotel!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a typhoon coming as I checked into the hotel. The restaurant was only available for pre-booked guests and the staff supplied me with alternative food until the restaurant could accommodate me the following night for dinner and breakfast the next day. Without them I would have been sick with hunger. Thank you The restaurant food was amazing Japanese food which I would out have had anywhere else in Japan.

I co I ps lot get any food from the restaurant for 36 hours and there was a typhoon so I was trapped in the hotel.

Although a bit far away and long to get to by train, it is a nice hotel in a beautiful location. Just quick walk from the pool down to a fantastic beach below the hotel. Although there is a restaurant at the hotel, it only serves meals to those who have it as part of their booking for you cannot order food there. So, you must go to the town about to kilometers away to get any food or convenience store.

If you don't have your own car it's a bit far by train. Then, from the train station to the hotel is about 2.5 km. It is a pretty easy walk but if you have a lot of luggage it would be a pain. I'm sure there are taxes but we only had day packs and it was a nice walk.

This hotel is a very high class hotel. They greeted even outside hotel, it is very courtesy. Staff were very professional and friendly. We love welcome drink and automatic piano playing. Big wide open glasses window in the lobby. Spacious and Spacious. Coin laundry is good. Outside hot spring are very beautiful and not big. In the night I couldn't go out for outside hot spring. However, in the morning it was very beautiful. banana tree, coconut tree and sea. I like talking to the people in that place. Staff was talking to me is more fun. That is good memory. I wanted to take pictures of the staffs.

If you didn't make reservation breakfast and dinner. It is not convenient. You need to walk for about 10 min. for the supermarket or Lawson. I think if you have a time, you should reserve the dinner and breakfast in the hotel.

We loved it. The hotel is built on a cliff right over the beach and offers great vistas of Kagoshima bay from every window. The room was spacious and clean. Wonderful Japanese breakfast. The staff was professional and attentive (special thanks to Para) both at reception and at the breakfast service.

The onsen, the staff were helpful, the pool was nice and access to a small beach area was good. It was quite expensive and the breakfast was expensive. However the coffee machine in the lobby was excellent.

Shuttle bus to town was great but it only went at 6 pm and 6:30. It would have been nice if there was a shuttle at lunchtime or in the morning as well.

We stayed here in Apr 2024. The view at the reception area was amazing. The outdoor onsen was small but comfortable. The room size was great for 2 people. There was a super friendly cat at the carpark and he/she greeted us every time we drove in/out.

We stayed at the ocean view side but the view was not as amazing as the concierge area. The room was a little old.

It is located in the isolated area. It is inconvenient for the people travelling with public transportation, however, the hotel provided the quality of healing time.

The building is old, but refurbished. The reception had the open space looking over beautiful sea from large glass windows. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small swimming pool and the beach is in a few minutes walk. It was surrounded with nature. The perfect location for the nature lovers.

Located in the nature. Peaceful and quiet, to the city center a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Supermarket 10 minutes by walking away. An amazing place to recover your soul, with the silence around you. The best views ever from the rooms. Beach side, ocean, volcanos. The rooms are clean, comfortable and everything necessary is available. Super friendly stuff. The onsen is incredible.

Nothing, very comfortable hotel.

The prettiest hotel ever! The bedrooms are so incredible, you can really feel like Japan in the 1900s, super traditional. The staff are really friendly, they speak English. The breakfast is amazing, but if you’re looking for a toast or something more ocidental, I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise, go for it! So worth it.
