Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes walk from Hase station made this perfect for us. No need to deal with crowded streets, yet we could hop on the train easily. The beds were strange...but quite comfortable! And the shared living area had tea/coffee/hot water and a toaster, so making breakfast was fun. We also enjoyed the small living area within our room for welcome breaks between checking out Kamakura sites. The owners were very communicative by email when I had questions.

To be honest, we thought we had reserves a whole house, not a room in the house, so that was a big surprise. But in the end, our room was quite comfortable and cozy. The only problem was that the dryer was broken so we had to find places to hang our wet laundry!

I liked the location as it is not far from the beach area and also not far from two konbinis (Family Markt and Seven Eleven). Also the Hase train station is not far away.

The smell in the bedroom coming from the air conditioning was bad. It felt to me like the air conditioning system needs to be cleaned properly. (But the system itself worked well and cooled down the room also well.) Also the smell in the showering area of the bathroom was not the best. The smell went away after opening the windows but came back later. Very important to me: the wireless lan was not working properly in my room. It disconnected every few minutes. This was annoying as my 4G sim card had very bad coverage in Kamakura. I guess this can also be fixed very easily.

This is a great little property that is only a 4 minute walk to the beach and only 5 mins to Hase station. Very conveniently located property. A nice cozy room with a kettle, microwave, bunk bed, and private toilet and bathroom. It is very easy to get from the property to central Kamakura, or one of the surrounding areas. The property was very convenient in terms of checking in and checking out. Kamakura is a beautiful beach town.

The walls are slightly thin, and I could hear the muffled television of the room next door. That's all.

What a lovely place! I had the Deluxe Twin room, which is actually a separate apartment one building down from the main guesthouse. It had its own entrance, a little kitchen, bathroom, and spacious bedroom. No washing machine in the unit but you can walk over to the main house and use theirs. The location was incredible, two minutes’ walk from the beach and so close to the Enoden line station (it was a 5 min train ride to Kamakura); just a quick walk to tons of cute restaurants and shops and the convenience store. I took the train straight from Haneda Airport and after clearing customs was here in less than an hour. No-contact check-in was a breeze. So peaceful and silent at night. Hase was such a perfect place to de-jet lag and this apartment had everything I needed. Will definitely stay here again!

I wish there was an in-unit washing machine.

Lovely large room with tatami and futon. There was also a nice little table and some seats (it’s helpful if you having practiced sitting on the floor your whole life). Also a lovely tea set and some kitchenware for small cooking. It’s very quiet yet very close to the beach and just 5-10 minutes walk from Hase station on the Enoden line. The staff was very helpful when we arrived and left.

We never managed to have the light above the kitchen sink to work. We know it’s a traditional style and it’s very minimalist but it would be helpful to have a proper rack to hang the towel.

Great location. Easy check-in. Quiet and peaceful accommodations. The projector for watching movies was an added perk. Made it feel like you were home. I would recommend for anyone wanting to avoid noisy hotels. I appreciated the experience and would book again. Close to the beach and shopping. Highly recommend.

Room could use curtains to block light in the morning when wanting to sleep later but not a big deal.

The location was great, only a short walk from Hase station, and even shorter to the beach front. The room was comfy and the bunk bed for kids was great. Very small though and quite close to the other rooms and shared area. The room came with a picnic set which was a really nice touch - as well as the water, ice, board games and other common use items.

The rooms are slightly outdated but overall comfy. There are narrow stairs only and no elevator which is tricky with large suitcases.

The owner chooses the perfect items, such as furniture and life-living stuff, and offers everything you might need when you live in the room. This really creates a premium atmosphere when traveling in Kamakura. Also, the experience of check-in and check-out was quite intuitive. Lastly, the location is perfect since it only takes around 5 minutes to walk to the beach and Haze station.

It’s too perfect that I decided to stay one more day in this hotel. ✨

Very nice small apartment close to the beach. Call, peaceful, cosy, neat and nice, with very good twin beds. Definitely we shall recommend it and will come back

Maybe too expensive for what it is? Also I did not like the do-it-yourself IKEA-Kind of registration and manipulation of IT tool to get access to the entrance and then to register to get access to the room. It looks like it is an artificial intelligence dealing with the customers. Look like there is no human being at the other side of the service; we did not meet anyone by the way but had to read and obey a lot of instructions and if not, threat of fines and the like. Not very human-centric… is this really the future we want?

The property was in a great location. So close to the beach and Hase station and the Main Street were a short walk away. We stayed in the self contained apartment next door, which was peaceful and was everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
