Villa Kamakura is at a great location, very close to the main street and just a street away from the ocean and Lawson. The facilities were top-notch, and Toshi was very helpful. There is a water filter machine/coffee maker that was very handy. Also, the TV had Netflix, paid YT, and other streaming services.

The bed is a bit small, and the room is only around 12m2, even though on Booking it said 38m2. We did go off season and it was pretty pricey for 4 nights. Also, the sound isolation is not that great because there was a party upstairs, which caused very loud noise in our room. The event did end around 20h but it was going on since the early morning.

Toshi, is a wonderful host keeping in touch frequently and giving the best suggestions and support.

The only less positive aspect is the noise coming from the apartment above, that lasts until late night and over midnight, but apart from that, it’s a wonderful place.

Toshi is a great host. Kept in contact before, during and after our stay. Had great recommendations and communication. The location is top notch, walkable to everything, Family Mart around the corner, beach access a very short walk. We traveled with 2 teen girls and there was enough space for everyone. Toshi checked in and made sure we had enough beds and that everyone was comfortable. The accommodations provided everything, towels, toothbrush, cooking utensils, spices, etc. Definitely more than we expected. Thank you, Toshi for being so kind and so accommodating.

Top location by the beach. The room has a beautiful ocean view from the big window. A short walk ftom the Enoden station (Hase) - easy walk to the Great Buddha, Hase Temple, etc. Just around the corner is a convenience store (Lawson). The apartment is tastefully and beautifully decorated (with a mini Japanese garden on the balcony), and supplied with everything one could think of - various amenities, the kitchen, umbrellas, backpacks you can borrow, etc.

There was nowhere to put our clothes - we were a family of 4 with 4 big suitcases, and it was hard to get our stuff constantly from the suitcases out and back. No closet or shelves for T-shirts etc (the back room had a hanger rack but the room is too small for 4 people trying to sort stuff). Would have helped also to have hooks for the coats (they all went on the backs of chairs - there was so much stuff by the hangers and we couldn‘t reach well).

Toshi was the most delightful host, from the moment I booked he contacted me via email to provide me with all the information and advice I could possibly need. Everything was truly perfect and Toshi took incredible care of every little detail of our stay. Villa Kamakura was the most beautiful place we stayed during our entire trip to Japan, it had everything we could wish for and more, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The only thing I regret is that we only stayed one night, we wish we could have stayed longer! If we return to Japan, we will definitely would stay here again! Thank you so much Toshi-san!

The place was in the most perfect location next to the train station, beach, attractions, and Lawsons. The penthouse was spacious and had every amenity. The beds too were one of the best sleeps I've had in Japan. The owner was extremely accommodating and welcoming ensuring the best possible stay with information on popular locations and best routes for transportation. I wish I did more than a day trip here, it was truly special!

Incredible location. You are very close to the closest station, which is one stop from Kamakura station. Due to the level of tourism though, we were very happy that it was far enough from the station (5 mins more or less) that we didn't have to deal with the crowd. 1 min from the beach, 1 min from the convenience store. Plenty of restaurants and temples nearby, beautiful room that had everything we could have possibly needed, and amazingly helpful staff.

Everything you could need is included in the apartment. Beautiful picture window with view of the ocean. Easy walk to many restaurants and the beach. Host was very attentive via email.

Be prepared for a very narrow staircase and several stairs. This important to know if you have heavy luggage or are disabled in any way. We were lucky to arrive when the cleaning crew was there and they were so kind to help us get our bags up the stairs.

Wonderful location, amenities, and view. The apartment has everything you could possibly want and need. The view to the ocean is wonderful, and it is a 5-minute walk to the nearest station. Toshi sends you a VERY detailed instruction sheet in English with pictures to help you locate remotes for AC, laundry, everything!! There is a wonderful French bakery just around the corner that was handy to pick up croissants and breads. Walking around Kamakura was easy and there are some exquisite temples and shrines nearby. We visited the Hase Kanon (Hydrangea Temple) in the rain and it was an easy walk to get there and my favorite thing I have done in Japan. We walked to the shopping street and then walked back and went to Jufukuji (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and it was peaceful, serene and we had the whole place to ourselves. Walk around and you will come to a bamboo forest with no one else there! We went to the Giant Buddha and Enoshima Island. We had some wonderful meals and were able to do all our laundry (everything is already there - no need to bring detergent, etc ). We loved the umbrellas left there (a beautiful Japanese design which made for some lovely pictures) and if the weather had been nicer, we would have used the amazing backpacks Toshi had ready with mosquito repellent, water bottles, camp chairs and cups! Toshi is always quick to respond and lovely to work with. I couldn't recommend this spot more!

Its a very nice one bedroom apartment for two ( maybe three max). Everything there, dishes, towels, washing/dryer combi!!! Can recommend also for longer stays! Bathroom has a Japanese mini bath tube, highly recommended

Lots of gatchets like water heater/cooler who would trun on in the night is super unnecessary ( took time to figure out how to turn it off), the neighbors can be heard
