I stayed in a beautiful tatami mat room with a private patio. It was very comfortable. The traditional Japanese floor bed was as comfortable as a western style bed. The room was clean.

There was little sound proofing, so at night when other guests came into the building, I could hear them. But I didn't personally mind too much. Everyone sounded like they were having fun, so it was not bad. The rest of my time there was not noisy, it was only at night, and only a few times. Note that restaurants in this area close earlier than I expected, but there is always 7/11 around the corner with excellent food.

This place is like Park HYATT. I stayed many Park HYATT hotels in the world. Milan, Moscow, Tokyo, and more. This facility's quality is as same as Park HYATT service or Grand HYATT Club Floor room and Club lounge. Room is very fancy and luxury design. Owner is artist and architect designer, so whole building, and rooms were self made with their sophisticated intelligence. I could totally relax and enjoyed little food and wines at private bar in this facility. get on the ride of Enoden train to Enoshima Island is like little trip. Yakitori restaurant place where next to this hotel is renovated 100 years old Japanese house. There is many restaurant on the main street where few minutes away from here. Very convenient and quiet area. Noise from train track is also lovely.

Nothing to say.

The location

I choose the economy room, which had a bunk bed. Below the bed is a desk on which you could theoretically work. However in front of the desk is such a big chair hat if you also put your suitcase below the bunk bed, there is no place to move the chair... so you can not use the desk either as you cannot sit . The room was extremely hot as the air conditioner can only produce hot air and no cold air. In the end I unplugged everything and opened the window (which is not easy as you have to climb on the desk to get access to the window). So just too much stuff in such a small room. The common area is nice and you will meet other travellers.

What an awesome place to stay. The proprietors are wonderful and I so enjoyed chatting with them and other guests during dinner. Dinner in the izukaya was very good and so convenient. On site bicycle rental made getting around the greater Kamakura area easy. The guesthouse itself is in the perfect location for a quiet morning walk, walking distance from the beach and the giant Buddha. Although the guesthouse is off a (beautiful) alley, the alley is paved and I was able to roll my suitcase all the way there from Hase station in less than 10 min.

The location is fantastic and the signage made it easy to find. It's close to a train station. I went early to drop off my backpack but my room was ready so I was able to check-in. The room is ryokan style - simple with bedding provided for the floor. It was very comfortable. I never turned on the TV or AC/heater, but both were in the room. There is a small sink with cold water and a shower with hot water and lots of water pressure. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided in dispensers. The shared toilet is in the hall. There is a simple, shared kitchen area on the main floor.

The shower taps were very stiff and hard to turn, especially once they were wet, but I managed ;-)

Great location - tucked into a sweet alley away from the main street, but close enough to have access. Super convenient. The space was lovely and very comfortable. Glad to have a private shower and sink in the room. The balcony doors let in plenty of natural light and breeze. The heater worked when the temperature dropped in the 40s at night. The staff at both the guesthouse and on site restaurant were so kind and helpful. Definitely eat a meal there or have a handful of beverages.

No hook by the sink or even a small shelf for toiletries. But nothing else!

This was a little gem. - Good location. - Room is sufficiently well equipped. Private shower is a big plus. - Friendly staff. - Walking distance to major sites in Kamakura, not too far from the tram. - Very clean.

Overall - No vegan food available on site. - Staff aren't necessarily very present, HOWEVER they are quick to answer messages and because of the nature of the place, it's not so necessary. Plus I didn't have any problems really, so it didn't matter.

The staff is super friendly and helped me carry the luggage to the room also helped me take downstairs. Also helped me call a taxi even helped me pull my luggage to outside waiting for me get on the cab and left ! It’s so rare even in Taiwan they won’t help you to do that ! The food I had the night before was super tasty . It’s next to the guesthouse, I think it’s also belonging to the guesthouse, because the staff was the same guy who help me carry my luggage upstairs. I chose grilled steak with veggies and the appetite was also great ! Super delicious! It even tastes better than a proper restaurant! And people were in the bar super friendly and helped me up my journey in Kamakura told me which ways I go would saved my time. Let me feel super warm and like that place so much ! One day trip was too short there are so many beautiful places to see ! I would definitely come back again and stay more days here next year! Thanks for helping me ! ❤️

I had some trouble with timing and arrived quite late for check-in (after 11 PM), but the host kindly left the key for me and even allowed me to pay the next morning. The next day, he greeted me with a smile and asked if I got there safely — such a kind man. The room was very clean and quite spacious compared to typical Japanese rooms. The location is also great — close to Hase Station and two major attractions: the Great Buddha and Hase Temple.

The room I booked has a really beautiful window. The tatami room just feels very cozy on a rainy, chill summer weekend. It’s very close to the Hase Temple and the beach, and has really nice cafes and diners within 5min walks. The host was nice too. Would recommend to anyone on a solo, chill weekend trip.
