Great guesthouse within walking distance of shrines, shopping , and the JR. The artwork on the walls was very romantic. The beds were very comfortable, the room was perfect size for backpacking for a few days. The staff was very kind and gave us many local suggestions.

Washroom / shower is going to be shared with other guests, just be mindful of timing shower and restroom usage. Walls are a bit thin, noise from the street and other guests may carry through. It is a compromise versus a private hotel room, but it is completely worth it for how close the JR and other activities are versus the price.

This place was so cool! LOVED the old house that the rooms are situated in - it was so quiet and peaceful and I had my own access to the garden. The rooms have beautiful murals painted on the walls and I had some of the best sleep of my entire trip here. I wish I would have stayed longer! The location is also super central and right near the JR line and local line station. Lots of cafes and shops in the area, yet the house is tucked away in a quiet street so it feels like a nice break from the hustle and bustle. The staff are super friendly and fun to talk to. Can't wait to stay here again when I return!

This place is unique. I was looking for a more traditional lodging with affordable price and it was a perfect match. I really enjoyed the vibe of an old Japanese house. The staff showed me around, I loved the free of charge dryer and the common space. The room felt a bit cold, but I got an extra blanket. The overall atmosphere was great, definitely an experience I would recommend to anyone while in Japan, on par with staying in a ryokan or love hotel.

That said, the house is lovely, but it's old, so it might not be for everyone. The walls are thin (as it says in the description) and you can hear lots of sounds including the train. I didn't mind it, plus other guests were quiet, but it might be a bother.

The property is artistic and charming and has the best use of the space possible. The rooms are beautiful and I stayed in this beautiful room called “the crane room “located in the corner with windows and beautiful. It was quite romantic.

Since the property is a bit older, it has some need for repair details. It’s also easy to hear people in the room next to you which they do mention and provide earplugs for.

Beautiful property, so comfortable and everything is beautifully designed. Great location, even if i got lost the first time looking for it haha.

The air-conditioning in my room was very loud but I couldn't turn it off as it was winter and this is an old building - however, don't let this put you off, its so so lovely and worth staying here.

It's in a very good location for Kamakura, next to a quirky little amazing used bookstore full of treasure. It's not that hard to find, it's well-signposted. The room I stayed in was very cute and had a little balcony area where I could enjoy my morning coffee. The building is pretty cold, though it wasn't an issue with an air-conditioner, I forgot how these old Japanese buildings could get cold with timber floors and single glass doors.

The staff was amazing, and took the time to show me all the amenities, and to make sure I understood the expectations. The artwork in the Moon Room was really peaceful and pleasant to be surrounded by.

I had to wait for the sink in the morning, but that comes with it being a guest house.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the facilities were everything we could need. Wise we could have stayed longer!

As they state the walls are thin but they are transparent about this and provide earplugs upon request.
