Cool beach-themed hotel near grand Buddha statue. This is a really cool and quirky hotel. I’ve never seen something like this before. You really have to see and enjoy all the over-the-top details. The owner is really nice and funny. The rooms have all amenities and nice beds. One big minus point however is that the room is really small and filled with furniture, so you don’t have much space left to walk or move around. Especially at the table that’s really uncomfortable. I bumped my feet and head five times in one day. Furthermore, one ceiling window does not have a curtain which unpleasantly illuminates the bedroom in the morning.

The guy running this joint is so nice. I arrived very late and all the restaurants in town were closed already; he offered to keep the hotel's kitchen open late just to make me something to eat! Then he helped me plan out my entire next day's itinerary so that I could see everything I wanted to see and make it to the airport on time (his English was very good). The room itself was great too. Clean and great location right next to the subway station. It was so convenient; I got off the train and was immediately at my hotel! I could drop my bags and start relaxing. 😌 And the next day Kotoku-in (the big Buddha statue) was less than a 10 minute walk away! 😎👍🏽

The two male staff members were great. They were helpful and friendly. One female staff member who brought a paper for us to fill out at check in was not. The air conditioning worked well which was great as it is hot in July. The bathroom was very new and everything was clean. The hotel is easy to find and it is in a great location. Though the room was not large at all, the high ceilings made it seem more spacious.
The room was so cluttered. Like others have written, there are simply too many decorations/ornaments in the room. The room isn't large and the decorations/ornaments take up a lot of space that guests could use to put their luggage. Unfortunately, the shell bedside lamp did not work and the wifi did not work well.

Uniquely decorated property made the perfect stay for my friend's birthday trip. The gift shop has a great selection of items. The staff were incredibly friendly and the in-house restaurant was delicious. Beds were very comfy, bathroom was clean, and a very short walk from a Yuigahama beach, the famous Enoden Train, and popular places like Enoshima/ Kamakura. Lots of other good cafes and restaurants in the area and the Japanese included breakfast was delicious.
The walls were thin and the outdoor lights could be seen from inside the rooms. For that reason I would hesitate if I was a light sleeper (I'm not, so this didn't bother me at all). The wifi needs to reconnect every hour and that was a little troublesome. The western included breakfast option isn't the greatest so I recommend the Japanese option which was just right.

the staff was extremely friendly. The place itself is quite an attraction with a cute Okinawa theme. It also has 2 restaurants, a snack stand, ice-cream/coffee place. I ate there one night and food was delicious! The room was clean and comfortable too. I stayed for 8 days and it flew by. I was able to absorb the beauty of Hase and rest of Kamakura during that week.
nothing!

Since the weather was not good, we couldn't fully appreciate our stay. We hired a taxi to see some shrines and Budda. Kamakura/Haas was a welcome change from the crowded conditions of Tokyo. Wish we could have stayed longer. Although the cottage sent immediate confirmation after I said arrival around 11am, they were not ready for us. Owner provided us with a warm place to sit and dry out while he got the room ready. The younger man in the gift shop was very pleasant and helpful.
Kitchen area very cramped. Not much room for eating. Too many decorations. Did not have any information about breakfast, but we loved the ebi furia prawns for dinner.

It was a very cold, snowy night when I arrived but the host was very gracious and apologized for my having to wait outside for a few minutes. The location was very close to Hase Station, so I was grateful for that. Easy 10 minute walk to Daibutsu(Great Buddha) as well. The room was perfect! Very clean and comfortable! If you decide to order food, get the steak bowl. It's delicious!

The ambiance was really fun and the staff was very friendly. You were able to be in Okinawa without going there.
The beds could've been more comfortable and I wish there were curtains or blinds. The window coverings were fun but when it came to sleeping it wasn't as restful.

This is a super cute hotel within walking distance of the beach. It would make a sweet romantic place for a younger couple. It is decorated with seashells and beach decor and there is a recording of the birds of Kamakura playing during the daytime. We had breakfast and lunch there. They had several vegan options and all of us enjoyed our meals. It was very close to the Enoden line and saved me hundreds of dollars versus staying downtown. It was easy for English speakers.
It's a converted retail space so it's not originally designed as a hotel. It works fine though. It is more like a B & B as a small family-run spot.

The staff was excellent and even upgraded our room because they had a room available at no extra cost! Super friendly, the location is less than ten minutes from Kotoku-In and five minutes from the ocean 😍 One warning is that you can't leave before 8am to keep noise down for everyone staying (not a problem for us) since the rooms are in a little complex, but honestly it wasn't an issue. The little courtyard is adorable and has two restaurants and a snack shop just steps from your room!
