This is my favorite place that we stayed in during our time in Japan. I loved the garden room, the complimentary tea and amenities, and the clear instructions on how to use everything. It was very quiet while we were there in late May, and the remote check in was very easy. Everything was perfectly clean and beautifully organized. You can access the train station in 20 min on the bus, and many of the main attractions and good restaurants are within 20 min walk.

The only thing that would have been nice is a small luggage holder, perhaps in the closet or in the corner between the window and the bed.

The location looks exactly like the photos, the check in is easy and the room is spacious and comfortable. It is a good way to experience the traditional houses in a quiet place. The neighbouring area is full of izakayas and other restaurants, it was a really nice stay.

The room became too hot during the night, but I don't know if it was my mistake with the air-con... The breakfast could include a tea option instead of coffee.

We loved the bedroom - two big double beds, set into alcoves. It was so cosy and we all slept really well. Our teenager enjoyed the top bunk bed. Having a separate sitting room and little garden was perfect. If you stay - go to the Ninja Temple nearby, it was really fun.

It is a little off the beaten track.

Beautiful room with garden view. Very thoughtful bathroom setup with a mirror big enough for multiple people to use and lots of amenities included. Lovely to have tea provided in the room.

The room was quite small for four people. There were 3 of us with large luggage and we found it difficult to open our cases at times. Also the shelves in the beds were a lovely cute idea but I almost knocked myself out on them while tossing and turning.

Comfortable, neat and clean. Kitchenette near the room was great. Optional breakfast was tasty. Showers were hot and the water pressure was strong!

While it was close to Nishi Chaya, it was a small commute to the attractions around Hagashi Chaya (inexpensive taxi ride).

It was adorable, very stylish and comfortable. Really great location, just over the road from the ninja temple, architecture museum and one of the old districts. The breakfast was yummy,

It was a little noisy when the other guests arrived. The washer/dryer took 5+hrs to do our 1 load of laundry.

Beautiful little ryokan with a cosy little private garden for the rooms downstairs. Really enjoyed the shared space as well where there is an opportunity to store and heat food in a little kitchen.

You can only contact staff over the phone. Nobody is available if you need something urgently, so it’s all self-check in, which may be a plus for some people.

A great choice for people who want to spend the night in a ryokan. Super clean, beautiful interior, definitely the largest space of all the places we stayed in Japan. Very nice host. We definitely recommend it.

A bit far from the center, but we spent one night here so it was not a problem.

I liked that it was within a walkable distance to many attractions. The facility was clean. The space was pretty.

I could hear the people above me walking and running around.

Super friendly & helpful reception Room was great and very clean. Would definitely stay again if ever back in Kanazawa. Handy location to the loop & normal city buses.

Nothing really, just be mindful that the property is located on a busy road. However, as our room was situated at the back of the property we heard zero road noise. It is a short walk (about 5mins) across the bridge to the bottom end of the CBD.
