Staying in a ryokan was on my bucket list, and this was the best value ryokan near to Kobe/Osaka (just 1 hour from either). The room was absolutely perfect, and the breakfast was divine! The water in the onsen was just heaven. It really is the full experience!

The onsen is very old! It certainly works perfectly, but at first glance it might not match what you had in mind (check pictures on this site). I loved it all the same - just know what you are booking :)

The beds were very comfy, and the hotel manager was very kind and sweet! The decor was very beautiful.

I'm not used to hard pillows, but as a foreigner, I cannot complain. Everything was wonderful

It's a beautiful traditional style Japanese inn with a sento and breakfast served in the room. Everyone is very lovely and the place is fantastic, also close to everything.

Lovely Ryokan experience.

Seemed that I was advised that a meal at the accommodation was not available but then saw meals prepared within the accommodation being delivered to other rooms.

Location was very inconvenient.

Futon was too thin and difficult to sleep. Hot spring bath room was depressing with mildew on the ceiling. Felt like Russian prison.
