This hotel is probably the best hotel in Kofu City area. It has hosted the past 3 Emperors when they came to the city. It also hosts national championship Shogi (Japanese Chess) matches. It has an incredible garden. Dining is in private booths in the restaurant, and the food was exceptional, although we only had breakfast there. The onsen (hot bath) was also incredible. Very nice facility.

We had a very(!) big Japanese style room. Absolutely special to experience this. The room was very clean, which is particularly remarkable because of its old style. Dinner and breakfast were both top-level.

The bathroom has an old style. Maybe that belongs to the overall style of the room, but not being able to stand under a shower without holding it in hand… that breaks with the overall sense of luxury. Limited ability to speak English by most of staff.

The property is absolutely spectacular, much better than the photos. Rooms are newly remodeled and extremely comfortable. We had a view of Mount Fuji which was so special. You must eat in the restaurant, food was authentic Japanese.

Everything was excellent, from the complementary glass of wine and tea, to the breakfast and especially the warmth and hospitality of the staff. A big thanks to Chihiro to be always there for us, with her special attentive detailed touch.

The check-in was smooth. The staff was very friendly. The ryokan is top 100 Japan best ryokans. The onsen was very good! a bit hot during the summer but is definitely worth visiting.

Dinner and Breakfast, included in price, were excellent and staff were very friendly. Great having Onsen on site.

Great place to stay for few days. Very quite and peaceful place.

The room was tiny, no space to put clothes or luggage, very inefficient cupboard , useless entrance space
