The surrounding area of the hotel is beautiful. It is located next to a stream which is clean and picturesque. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Beds were large, though it occupies most of the room. There's a section of the room for a desk and pantry. Staff were polite and responsive. There is a water dispenser at the front counter which is convenient.

There were no iron or ironing facilities. It's tough when I had a few clothes that needed ironing and have to settled to wearing wrinkly clothes. Please fix this as it is a very simple fix. Iron and board doesn't cost much.

I loved that was very sleek , Was super modern and taken care of Was fairly central train station not to far and a lot of bikes to hire around you The beds were extremely comfortable was well cleaned daily our rooms and topped up with condiments and sheets were done made nicely The staff were super polite and super kind Was cheaper then most

The staff is really helpful. They were very friendly and committed to giving excellent service. Great location, near some temples by walking distance. The room was bigger than the usual Japan hotels room of this price range. It had everything we needed, and was sparkling clean. The hotel has a coin laundry room.

There is a fee for tourists that you have to pay at the reception, and I don't think this was advertised. Anyway, it wasn't too much.

Outstanding facilities, resources and location.

I arrived an hour earlier than check-in and surely the rooms would’ve been made up but no, they wouldn’t allow me to enter my room. Of course there are rules but how many times over the years have I arrived at a hotel at midnight and I’ve had to check out by 10am. It would be nice if my clean record over so many years was recorded on Booking.com so that every hotel could see that I’m more than just another tourist. It was really annoying.

convenient location, perfect size for one person, so nice to have fridge and microwave

on the last morning of my stay, the cleaning staff tried to enter my room at 8am. I had the physical security lock in place so they could not enter. 5 minutes later they are slamming my door trying to get it open….this whole ordeal woke me up. you would think they would know someone is in the room? also at 8am?!!! when check out is at 10am. the staff needs to be better trained to not try to enter a room 2HOURS before check out. and even if they do try or check, once they saw that I was in there, they should not have been slamming on the door trying to enter…. made me leave my trip on such a sour note. unfortunate because everything was great up until then.

The hotel is in a beautiful quiet area near the center of the city, walking distance away from the major sights as well as the train station, making it very convenient.

The window couldn't be opened and it was made of wireglass, so you couldn't see outside.

Had a nice room overlooking the small river outside. Central location in a quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk to subway and buses. Room was small but nice and was kept very clean. Comfortable bed. Laundry on site. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Decent location about 20 mins walk from Kyoto centre, budget style rooms had necessities. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Small bathroom, mouldy shower curtain. Detailed dust clean would be beneficial (but it wasn't too bad). Being near the river there are mosquitoes around and near the lobby plants.
