I am an experienced traveler across the Asia, so to me tatami was very comfortable. There is 7/11 across the street and subway station in 5 minutes. Next to the subway you can find cheap breakfast. In general I would say the location is good. It’s not too noisy and still not too far away from life. It is very warm inside and there are plenty of utilities. The staff is polite and helpful

The location is perfect, in close proximity to everything (with use of super easy public transport) but you get the peace of a quiet neighbourhood. The futon beds were amazing on the tatami, great night sleep guaranteed. Also the room has 5 options of lighting on a remote which is so great for slowly winding down to sleep. Air Con also has night mode which is silent and gently blasts air to keep it at a set temp. Shower pressure is incredibly strong, and adjustable. Seamless self check in and out. Chain and lock bag storage outside of rooms so you’re not taking up valuable space.

Bathroom is small but completely adequate for showering etc, just be aware if you’re someone who likes to do all your getting ready in the bathroom

The location was very convenient, Nijo station is very close and there are many restaurants in the area! The value for the price is very good.

I only had one issue which was that there were no outlets near the restroom. I couldn't do my hair with the bahtroom mirror. I had to use my own pocket mirror just to do my hair since I had to find an outlet elsewhere.

This was a cute room and the bathrooms was nice and convenient. The bed was easy to setup and I slept very soundly here. The staff welcomed me when I came in and showed me where my shoes went, how to turn on the lights, etc. Overall and easy-to use layout and it was close to what I was sightseeing.

Fantastic location within a very short walk to the train station (JR) and metro station. Shops and restaurants also nearby if needed. Very clean and spacious room with slippers, towels, toothbrushes included.

We left our towels out as instructed to be cleaned but came back from the day to the same towels unwashed. think it was just an oversight and really didn’t worry us.

The staff was friendly, and the room lived up to the pictures. The amenities are comparable with a cheap business hotel but with a nicer atmosphere. The area is quiet and feels out of the way, but we found it easily accessible to tourist spots by bus, train, or taxi from Nijo station--around which are plenty of places to eat.

The only small complaint I can think of is that I wish there was a full length mirror. It was hard to check if I looked ok before going out in the small bathroom mirror.

The fact that it was a great location, close to Nijo Station, nice rustique Japanese layout with comfortable futons. The temperature was nice, shower comfortable and getting towels and pyjamas was a nice bonus! Having a microwave and a watercooker to your disposal also comes in handy!

Wifi wasn't as good as you would want, and in the evenings, hot water seemed to be scarce due to other people using it probably.

Excellent location, clean and spacious Ryokan. Nijo castle, Jr station and a lot of restaurants and stores around. Rooms are modern, with great amenities, super comfortable "beds"

The traditional Japanese room was beautiful and so nice to experience. Great location, and they let us know about a festival in the area we would have missed otherwise.

Good location near Metro and JR station. Great experience sleeping on tatami mats! Host was responsive and fixed a small issue with the lights in a timely manner. We had a great stay!
