The rooms were clean and well put together. The bathroom was very modern and stylish. The beds were pretty alright, and no one had any issues sleeping on them. Easy access to a vending machine within the hotel grounds. Location was totally fine, as you are about a 5 to 10 minute walk to a nearby station and to convenience stores. Staff were present anytime we walked by and were very cordial and worked with us when two of our party were delayed on their way to Kyoto.

The pillows were a little disappointing as they were close to a bean bag type pillow, but it didn't really matter much at all as we still slept totally fine on them.

1. the location of the hotel is decent, within reach of the metro station for only about 5 minutes of walk. 2. the region where the hotel is at is very calm and relaxing. 3. the bathroom is pretty compact, wide enough, neat and stylish for me. 4. our room was intially given the room in the first floor. We didn't like it and had them find another room for us. The staff handled it quite efficiently. 5. the beds are pretty big, just that the positioning of them are a bit awkward due to the structure and limited space of the room, one the bed is sort of tucked into the cave between the pillar and the wall.

1. the smell of the room is kind of molded, usually running the AC will solve the problem but each time you get in from the outside you can somehow still smell that damp odor. 2. the interior of the room is a bit worn off, you often see broken parts of wallpaper and some stains, rendering a feeling of an old hotel whereas its appearance seems to be modern and newly renovated. 3. see the following par of 5. above, it is about the beds.

Nice location, is in a small quiet street, min walk from a train station, very convenient. The rooms are good size for Japanese standards. Good water pressure, good wifi. You have tea & coffee facilities in your room, and in the reception area. They also offer takeaway cups. Good laundry facilities, with the soap included in the price. The room was very clean, the beds comfy, but the pillows need to be changed. I don't know what they were made of, but they were super hard, not comfy. The reception staff was good, easy check in/out. I was able to leave my bags for a few hours after check out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Glad One Kyoto Shichijo by M's and overall, it was a wonderful experience. This was a bit frustrating, especially for those needing a reliable internet connection for work or planning their travels. Despite this issue, everything else about the hotel was really good. The ambiance, cleanliness, and excellent service make it a great place to stay. If the Wi-Fi issue is resolved, it would make Hotel Glad One Kyoto Shichijo by M's an even more outstanding choice for visitors. In summary, Hotel Glad One Kyoto Shichijo by M's offers a great experience with its excellent location, comfortable rooms, and superb staff. Fixing the Wi-Fi would make it nearly perfect. I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay in Kyoto.

Room was very clean. Small but perfect. Shower was great with hot water and powerful after a long day walking. Hotel is new and in great shape. Laundry was perfect and nice that soap is part of the machine.

Common areas like lobby are a bit drab and lack personality. No one is there until check-in time and there's a lack of instruction on what to do if you'd like to leave your luggage. Leaving luggage was not very secure so do not leave any valuables inside, although I never worried about theft. You lock your bag to a post but it sits in the lobby. There's a microwave or two out but little else. I think they could make this area feel more welcoming, have a little music, have a few things to offer the weary traveler. Not a deal breaker but the vibe upon entering doesn't match the quality of the hotel.

Facilities were great, there were everything we needed, a lot of amenities, as well as a nice drink bar downstairs. shower and toilet was very modern and very clean.

location was not exactly central kyoto, transportation was relied on bus (7 minute walk), and there were shrines nearby for the vibe. for the price, we really cannot complain

The beds were super comfy! The AC was a standalone Mitsubishi unit that was amazing. Location was close enough to a Keihan Line station as to not be inconvenient. Basic disposable bathroom amenities were available. Laundry machines available

Drink machine in the lobby was more often than not unavailable!! Coffee machine was only available early in the day. Doing laundry was chaos (too many people trying to use at same time). Property would have to add machines or monitor to ensure guests handle their clothes in a timely manner.

Great location with easy access to the Higashiyama Ward and Kiyomizu-dera. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. 7-eleven nearby, great for quick snacks or for getting money out. There were lots of cherry blossoms blooming by the river during our stay in Spring!

Coin laundry was expensive given the limited load it could take. Our beds were a little uncomfortable.

We loved the quiet location between the 2 rivers but with a craft beer bar, sake bars and restaurants near by, and metro stations, bus stop and main station all in walking distance. Coffee, juice and soda machine in the lobby.

Room was small but ok by Japanese standards. Reception was often unmanned.

I needed to get a Western-style room on short notice as my body was not compatible with the futon mattresses at the ryokan we booked nearby in Kyoto, even doubled up. This fit the bill: small but good bed, affordable, clean, plugs, all the basics. The check-in is a little minimally staffed but someone always came out of the back pretty quickly if needed. It was also helpful to have plenty of tables and chairs in the lobby where we could eat dinner picked up from elsewhere (551 Horai).

My keycard stopped working at one point and I think I had to get a new one. Everyone was helpful though and it was resolved quickly.
