Stayed here before we started a hike on the Nakasendo. Got the breakfast in the morning, which was very good. Conveniently located for station and some restaurants. The rooms arent large but are comfortable and the in house onsen is large and good. Some good restaurants nearby, but Shiojiri doesnt have much else going on, unless you like wine and Whiskey.....

We had a smallish room, but still large enough for two foreigners.

It is a calm, soothing and serene place to stay. there is a public bathroom if you prefer to have a soak in a big space. Soaking in a hot bath means a good night sleep. the breakfast provided was excellent. I feel i have been pampered.

I would prefer a room with a better layout. The desk is on one end and the toilet at the other end of the room. With 2 beds in the middle of room, it leaves a narrow path to walk from desk to toilet if you are filling kettle to boil. I would also like to have a luggage rack or more space to put 2 cases open as we have a twin room meant for 2 persons.

We stopped here on our way down to the Nakasendo Road. The breakfast was delicious and the woman who helped us check in was so kind. She even spoke to us in English which I never expect but always appreciate! I also liked that there was a parking lot that did not require a reservation.

The food was amazing!!! The staff made a real effort to cook us a fantastic Japanese meal and to explain to us how to eat it. The room we stayed in was an authentic Japanese room with no beds (only futons to be rolled out on the floor). I loved having this experience and would recommend for any western travellers looking to have a unique experience.

We are from Australia and do not speak Japanese. The staff were very patient, kind and helpful. The hotel seems like it is from a grander time. The small, extra touches of complimentary toiletries were lovely.

Breakfast and service from the server was excellent. Location was about 5 minutes walk from train station.

Beds could had been a little more comfortable.

Shiojiri was a tricky place to find accommodation. We chose this because of proximity to station and it was a delightful find. The room was quite large the bathroom slightly bigger than some.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel that had any impact on our stay.

I think it was best spend for 2 nights. property was very clean and quite. and we came from hakuba so we got an east access to the hotel.

We had to parking issues for 2 nights, but actually i don't know Whether it has separate parking or not.

The bed were to hard
