The hotel is located next to the Oyodo river which is great for running og walking along. We were welcomed by the friendly staff which made us very welcome. They had a number of written information sheets in English about the hotel and facilities which was great as our Japanese is limited and so was their English. The room was with tatami flooring and futon mattresses. The bathroom was a totally covered outdoor space which although in winter was great. It was chilly to start with but quickly warmed up when you either started the shower or began to fill the bath. The last being a wonderful wooden bath. There was free parking right by the hotel. Although the room was with no meal plan they provided toast and butter/jam for breakfast free of charge together with the complimentary coffee/tea. I would definitely stay at Yurakuan Miyazaki if I came back to town.

We had a lovely experience staying here. The room was large enough for the whole family and had a very traditional Japanese feel. There were beds for us older folks and the kids enjoyed the comfy futons. The soaking tub was huge and it was nice to open the balcony door for a cool breeze while I was in steaming water. The price was very reasonable for a suite. The staff was helpful and very friendly.

Miyazaki was the last stop on our trip so we could see Aoshima and surrounds and do some souvenir shopping. For Ghibli fans, the Ghibli shop in Aeon Mall Miyazaki has a bigger range than the museum at Mitaka. Yurakuan Miyazaki gave us a family room with a real authentic, Japanese, little bit retro feel. Really kind and thoughtful staff. A little far to walk to stations but taxis were easy to find and cost 1 - 2 thousand yen to get you to a station or the airport. If you're not a big hotel chain kind of family, would recommend 100%.

This time we stayed 2 nights and 3 days and we all had a relax stay there. The bathtub was made by wood, and smells nicely. Kids played in the bathtub as it’s enough to play inside. The room was Japanese style, so we slept on Japanese futon. There are enough parking spots for cars, and it’s easy to park for me who are not good driver.

If there was a blackout curtain, then we could sleep deeply.

Friendly reception, easy parking and access to rooms via lift. Nice spacious room with tatami covered floor in the separate living area. Simple breakfast with toaster and kettle. Nice firm bed.

Bathroom floor to ceiling glass door and side panels. No blinds to provide privacy from outside, except for an alcove on the outside which is not completely enclosed.

Spacious room. Like the tatami area for dining and bed separated. Very helpful staff.

Location is a little out of town. But is ok if you have your own transport.

Pro - spacious room, clean, big bath room with big wooden bath tub (depending on selected room type) free parking, not full breakfast included but free toast and toaster in the room. Value for money. Note - no English speaking staff, but English explanatory printed out sufficient enough to understand instruction/procedure.

Con - seem no nice restaurant nearby within walking distance, have a drive a bit but still not far.

Huge room. Have a living area, bedroom and bath room. Very clean and friendly owner always around to great you. The free thick toast bread was so delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

The room is very very big and there is a massage chair. Car parking for free Owner and the staff is very kind. They have a website cake service
