Exceptional location, 20 meters from lifts. Away from the pubs and tourists frenzy of Happo but easily within reach if that’s what you’re after. World’s best Onsen facilities, awesome smorgasbord breakfast and dinner. Guest locker facilities are perfect and MYO lunch pizzas with beers is a must. Rooms are older and simple but clean with everything you need. It’s not advertised as a 5 star penthouse establishment it’s a functional, practical, clean, comfortable hotel. Enough English to easily get by but still predominantly and thankfully Japanese. During my 12 day visit we had 4 meters of fresh snow and as I left anther 4 days of 60+cm fresh powder started. Tree runs are absolute world class attracting many away from European/Canadian/USA resorts. Unfortunately this hidden gem won’t remain hidden for much longer!! Move fast!!! See you next year, I’m doing 3 weeks.

The hotel is very impressive and big! Great facilities. But most importantly for us is that it is right on the ski area! The skiing at Cortina Hakuba was incredible (it snowed every day we were there!). The Onsen was amazing!

It's a little dated. Okay, quite dated. But the biggest problem is that we were overcharged significantly. We did have daily charges (mainly the restaurant) on our bill at check out, but the corresponding charges on my credit card were always different. Usually higher. Then there was a charge on my credit card for the day we left that wasn't on the hotel bill at all! I did some research and it appears this was not an isolated incident.

This property was a dream! Located directly on Cortina mountain, I could see my partner coming down the mountain snowboarding from my bed! The facilities inside the hotel were great - food, rentals, ski lockers etc. We were awfully sad to leave this property as it had the most beautiful views, we will be coming back !!

Do wish the convenience store inside the property had a greater variety - or even perhaps was a 7/11 or Lawsons store as it didn’t have a lot of options. This resort is quite a distance away from shops so would be amazing if better range was available at the store.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Green Plaza! The rooms were super comfortable and quintessentially Japanese, which added to the charm. Being right next to the ski lift made hitting the slopes a breeze, and the on-site rental shop had everything we needed. We also loved browsing the great gift shop and relaxing in the lounge area. But the real highlight was the incredible onsen... pure bliss after a long day of skiing! Overall, we'd highly recommend Hotel Green Plaza for its convenience, comfort, and welcoming atmosphere.

While the food wasn't always the most impressive, the lively vibes at the all-you-can-eat restaurant almost made up for it. We were excited to eat somewhere else after three nights.

Great location - literally 20 seconds walk from the ski lift. Breakfast and buffet were great - especially the night buffet which has all you can eat sashimi and sushi. Onsen was nice and relaxing too. We stayed in the Maisonette Family Room which was an excellent two-story apartment - great for a family with upstairs / downstairs privacy. Also try the pizza cafe on the 1st floor (closes at 4:00pm) where you make your own pizza! Super delicious! Renting gear (they have everything) was also easy. But you'll need to bring / buy your own gloves and goggles. There is a shop there that sells everything from ski gear / socks / gifts which is very reasonably priced.

This place is FULL of foreign tourists, so if you're wanting a uniquely "Japanese" feel, maybe not the best. If that doesn't bother you, then go for it! As usual, some of the "tourists" are loud and rude when it comes to breakfast / dinner buffets... like a pack of seagulls to a piece of bread. Also the lack of dining options after 4:00pm was a bit disappointing and made the only option a $50 buffet dinner - which was delicious - but a bit expensive as the only option every night.

Was unable to book for next year until about 6 months before I was told. I wanted to lock in a few weeks next season . Magic location, powder catcher valley, ski in ski out (snowboard in my case!) Brilliant.

The location for this property is why we choose it- since we only had 3 days for skiing and it was a ski in ski out hotel. The challenge was that there wasn’t much else to choose from to eat- except their buffet style expensive restaurant. We almost paid the same amount for the food as for the room. The room itself was pretty cool with a Japanese style tatami mats and lounge area, but the beds were very old and mattresses were horrible. But we were so tired from skiing we didn’t care. The onsen was the highlight of the property and had incredible views of the mountain.

The best ski-in ski-out hotel in Cortina area. Staff are extremely helpful particularly the front desk team both day and night shift. There are Chinese speaking staff to assist us too and special thanks to Miss榎林.

Our private van with a local Japanese speaking driver was stuck in a snow storm on arrival date 6 km from the hotel. But the emergency telephone no. in all webpages are for room reservation only and no one will pick up the phone after 6 pm either. As our storm-stuck accident happened at 6 pm, we were very desperate to call the hotel for help and eventually we were only able to reach the hotel after two hours struggling calls. Though the hotel immediately arranged hotel car to rescue us, it would be much better if front desk or telephone operator number can be provided in public domain.

Great mountain to ski in and ski out. Staff were friendly Good onsen to used every night after skiing.

Hotel is too far from everything else. Not much choice for the food, dinner has only one place open. Took us 1 hour to get to Happo station where the action, food and bars is. No bus transportation after 4 pm. So if you need to go to Happo you need to take a taxi and is about $50-$60 USD one-way. Also, the hotel is a bit old-style. We stay in the room for 6 people, but only one bathroom in the room to use.😔

The room was clean and spacious and we had choice between western style beds or Japanese futons (actually very comfortable, it was a good experience). The buffet for breakfast and dinner was offering plenty of options, and the food was delicious. The public bath very relaxing after a day of ski is a must! Definitely a very good place in Hakuba Valley
