The guesthouse was very clean and well organised. I stayed on the bottom bunk and it was very comfortable. The owners were friendly and spent time showing me the local maps and recommended lots of things for me to see. I enjoyed my stay there.

The bathroom facilities were proper and clean. Overall it was a very reasonable place for a cheap price, close to the station.

The bed had to be the least comfortable thing I've ever slept on, but otherwise, all was well. You can get there right from either station by many buses, which was nice.

I liked, that the apartment was pretty near to the Nara park, so it took me just a few minutes until I was at the entrance of the park. You could pay with VISA-Card. But the card reader was really dusty.

The welcome was beginning with the information, I couldn’t stay there. At first I thought it was meant, I couldn’t store my luggage before check-in at 4pm (because I arrived earlier). But no - the staff told me, they couldn’t find my reservation, although there were only approx. 4 guests. If you are traveling alone and you get this information, it’s a bit more serious, because you would have to find something new and carry your suitcases maybe to a completely different area. They let me wait 30 min, outside (!) in front of the door - with my heavy backpack and my whole stuff. Not asking if I would like to wait at least inside, finding a solution together. Not asking, if I would like to drink something. Nothing. Meanwhile just the desperate tries of the staff to talk in English to me. The understanding was really difficult. Finally, after half an hour, they found my reservation and apologized many times. I stayed there on a Saturday. In the evening, there was nothing to find to buy groceries or have a dinner. You have to take the bus or to walk by feet at least 20-30 min. When I came back in the evening, the owner talked loudly with another guest in the living room with open doors, while other people already tried to fall asleep. Early at the morning the same issue. Everywhere in the guest area there were general information in a really bad English, sometimes even unintelligible. The check-out-time is pretty early (9 am), not common. This apartment had in general an unloving charm. I was disappointed and can’t recommend.
