The location was great because it is located in a shopping district with great access to food and other stores for buying souvenirs. It is also a short 5 min walk to the outskirts of Nara Park and some local museums. The breakfast tastes AMAZING with great service. They ask you when you want your breakfast and you show up with everything already prepared for you. Since its a ryokan, everything is very traditional so the service, the facilities, and everything else gives you a great experience of the Japanese culture

We did have a little trouble with the heater initially but everything worked out later. Although the facilities is not top-notch or new, it works great and everything is wonderful, especially for the price.

The properly is located right in the middle of a busy shopping street/shopping arcade. You literally exit the properly and are right there at the different shops and restaurants so location is perfect! It is also about a 2 minute walk from the famous mochi pounding. The staff are very friendly. The accommodation is a Ryokan so very different from your normal hotels, but it is a great experience and a must do for your stay in Japan! There is nowhere to leave your luggage before check in, but there is a small and quiet train station about 5 minutes away where there are plenty of coin lockers available.

It’s not a fancy place but the location is ideal and it’s very clean and if you’re accustomed to the size of rooms in Japan it’s very comfortable. It’s a great bonus to have the option of a bath. Single traveller should realize that the Japanese style rooms are priced for two people which is always the case but there are single rooms available with so-called western bed. One big bonus is the gentleman who seems to be the owner or manager. He’s totally on top of everything very nice.

The Ryokan is literally 1min walk from the station, in a peatonal street full of shops. The personal was very kind and they were always trying to help. They took care of our luggage before the check in and after the check out. The room was amazing with tatami floor and they left a yukata for each gest. The Onsen was amazing and very relaxing. The breakfast was incredible, everything in the menu was amazing and very tasty. 100% recommended

Very pleasant stay - friendly, English-speaking staff, clean and comfortable room. Great location. Didn't pay for breakfast/dinner so I can't comment on the food.

I was able to sleep fine but an option for softer pillows would be nice since these were quite hard (but these kinds of pillows seem to be the standard in Japan, so maybe there's not that much that can be done.)

The fact that the place is right in the market, I was surprised that we didn’t even hear the noise. The place is well insulated. The room that was given to us was a bit small but clean. Having the laundry room in every floor is very convenient. It was a nice stay overall.

Good central location. Public onsen. Pyjamas provided in bedroom. Bedroom/bathroom bigger than many hotels in Japan

Early check out time 10.00 am Very Late check in time 16.00.. Lucky to let us stay there at all! Hotel close at 23.00 so.must come back early from night out. Big noise next door from construction work. Why did it take them one night to.move us to a better, quieter room?

The friendly service and the fact that it also had a restaurant part which served A5 meat. As well as the fact that smoking inside the room was not allowed but instead in a dedicated area.

Even if it was very well taken care of, parts of the interior were quite old.

Room and facilities are good. Located inside a shopping mall, which is convenient but also a little odd. Staff were accommodating in check-in and spoke english. Very close to Nara Park

Pretty sure the tatami mats are actually plastic.

Lovely spacious tatami room, very comfortable futon. Room did have ensuite bathroom, but we enjoyed the nice big hot shared baths available, much like going to a sento. Yukata were provided too. Teas and senbei in the room were very welcoming.
