Room was clean and comfortable. We chose this because of the onsen style bath and it was well worth it. Bath was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. Family weer very happy with the room. Location was very good, around 10-12 minute walk from the station and abour 5 minutes to the start of the deer park area. We opted for the set menu dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was fantastic. The adjusted menu for children was excellent and we all loved the meal.

As usual in Japan, all provided slip on shoes for indoor use are always too small for our feet. It would be nice if you could request a bigger set to avoid skipping using them in the room.

Incredible location right on the edge of Nara park and with a view of the pond! We woke up to sights of deer wandering right in the vicinity outside the hotel. The staff here were particularly lovely and we experienced safe to say the best service of our whole trip to Japan at this hotel. The dinner and breakfast were extremely tasty and though there wasn't any washing facilities on the premises the hotel staff were very helpful in recommending a coin laundry store very close to the hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer here!

Nothing!

This hotel has the best service we have encountered in Japan. It is very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. When we arrived at the hotel, they prepared disinfectant wipes and hot tea for us. Moreover, every staff members are very friendly and thoughtful, giving us guidance and suggestions that were very in place. They even helped us carry our luggage when we left. The thoughtful service deserves full marks

But I think the hardware facilities of the hotel are average, such as the large temperature difference between morning and evening during the days we stayed, the window of the room we stayed in leaked air, and even though we slept on the ground with the air conditioning on at night, the bed closest to the window was still very cold, and we could feel the cold wind blowing on our faces

The front desk staff were SUPERIOR, the room was beyond our expectations. Located in the heart of NARA, it was a short walk to all of the attractions and downtown shopping/restaurant area. I can't say enough about the superior level of customer care we experienced and wish I could remember her name to give her credit directly.

ZERO.....

A traditional Japanese accommodation that offers you the opportunity to experience Japanese culture, customs, and traditions up close. The breakfast was excellent, also traditional, with locally prepared dishes.

For someone who is used to European-style hotels, this is a completely Japanese-style accommodation, and they might not enjoy sleeping on futons.. I personally enjoyed it, but my children didn’t..

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facilities were amazing as well, beautiful, clean and rich in culture. The room was comfortable, the private onsen was free to use and really beautiful. The chef special dinner and breakfast was delicious, some of the best food we had while in Japan. Well done to this wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Nara. Remember to have dinner there!

It was perfect.

Location was great and the staff were wonderfully friendly, courteous, and helpful.

The WiFi signal was weak and kept dropping, so we couldn't work from the room. And the breakfast was horrible. We have had Japanese style breakfasts at many other properties and found them to be fine, but for some reason this hotel really misses the mark.

Nice calm atmosphere, located near Nara park so deer roamed free, but also near big shopping street for restaurants. Staff really pleasant. Our room looked out on to a lake. Breakfast very authentic Japanese.

If you have heavy cases it is about 20min walk up slight incline from Nara station so just be prepared and it will be fine.

Excellent location, spacious room. We got the room with the nice view to the pond. The traditional Japanese breakfast was very special experience. Our special thank you is to mrs. Ayako Kurokawa. She provided to us so kind treatment and she made us feel like a very special guests.

The hotel is a little bit tired and all public areas are full of dust and not so clean.

It was incredible. We arrived early before check-in . Dropped our luggage, and the hotel is right at the entrance of the park. The staff is very polite and we had a wonderful tradiontal Japanese breakfast.

We stayed only one night, and we would have loved to stay longer.
