This hotel has an amazing location—just step outside and you might spot deer wandering nearby, which was such a unique and lovely experience. The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel itself is well-equipped, with clean and modern facilities throughout.

While the overall environment of the hotel is very pleasant, the female dormitory has a few drawbacks. Each bed doesn’t have curtains, so there’s little privacy, and when the lights are turned off for sleeping, it can be disruptive for those with different schedules. The room itself is quite small—once suitcases are open, there’s barely any space to move around. Also, the dormitory is next to an open terrace, so conversations from outside can sometimes be heard and may disturb rest.

The location is nice. Close to many of the big sightsee spots in Nara. Clean

The curtains don’t block out light well. And the light in the capsule is so bright light gets out and everyone in the room can see it.

Great little spot. So close to everything like the deer park and the Mochi pounding shop. Good pressure showers on 4th floor. Female shower room is huge. Good room size and storage space. Staff are the front desk are lovely and very welcoming

Not the hotels fault but there was one old lady that woke up at 5:30 every morning and made so much noise in the kitchen. We were right beside the kitchen and the walls are paper thin so ear plugs were essential

very kind staff. I have lived in many cities in the Kansai region, and they are very kind and helpful. English is always available there so no worries. The hotel is located at the heart of the Nara city, especially the Nara park, Nara machi, and Sarusawa-ike Pond. I can easily walk to each tourism attraction without using any buses or trains. If I have the chance to visit Nara again, I will definitely choose it again. Although some tourists may not spend a night in Nara, but I highly recommend you to spend a night here. The hotel quatily is definitely better than other cities in the Kansai region, given that you spent the same amount of money.

Nothing!

Location, location, location! We couldn't believe it when we saw where it was at the price they were asking. True, the room was small and plain, and there were only two bathrooms and toilets on our floor, but we could walk into the park in five minutes and to the station in ten...and from some rooms you could see the deer grazing in the park.

We paid for a small double, and that's what we got... a SMALL double. Not the best room we stayed at on our holiday, but it was exactly as advertised.

Great location, we had an enormous room with a very big bathroom. The bathroom had a bit of strange smell but I think it’s understandable for an old building especially for the price you’re paying. They have a small reception that closes in the night and receptionist were not the friendliest people but it was overall okay.

Location was excellent and the bath was amazing too. Very satisfied with price-value ratio.

The AC was making a bit of noise, which was alright but had to use the earplugs. However, the beds were great and the location was excellent. The third person had to sleep on tatami floor tho, so that was not very comfortable for them, but it was okay for one night.

I was surprised how close everything was to the hotel, especially for the price. A very short walk and central to everything. The staff were all very friendly and nice and the rooms were spacious with a very large bathtub/shower room. If you drive, they have free parking.

The beds were a bit hard for my personal preference but they weren’t bad and softer than beds typically are in other Japanese hotels.

The location is fantastic, very close to the park, lots of food options and shops. The room was very large and the beds were comfy. The staff at the front desk were lovely. The amenities were lacking and the bathroom was very old. It’s also a bit of a walk from the train station.

Clean and cosy room which accommodated our family of 7. Location was in a quiet spot and there was good privacy for us. Having our own dedicated carpark space at the hotel was also very helpful.

Toilet was very big and perhaps some of the space can be reconverted into living space.
