Great location ! We actually walked from Nara JR station with luggage. I'm not pretending everyone should do this but this far from impossible, it took us roughly between 15 and 20 min. No rush, no traffic around this hotel, This is no dead end street but the traffic is very limited. It is a bit secluded which makes this place so peaceful. A lake on one side with deers coming close to the hotel terrace. The main street is only a stroll away. You can walk to the Todai Ji as well. Everything within a walking distance. Recent construction. Classy and comfortable. Airco everywhere in the hotel and working perfectly. (we had a scorching heat during our stay). Excellent beds, excellent shower/bathtub. Everything was handy, clean, well maintained. Cherry on the cake: you can use the coin-laundry downstairs or warm up some dish in the microwave. I asked to reserve a taxi the afternoon before our departure and the taxi was there the next morning, on time, as planned, which I highly appreciate.

No negative point at all, actually.

We had a wonderful stay! The room layout was perfect for a family and quite spacious compared to many other hotels in Japan. Everything was super clean and very quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the outdoor table where we could sit, unwind, and watch the deer — it was so peaceful. The location was excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Nara’s main street and Nara machi with plenty of restaurants nearby. There was even an amazing udon shop just seconds away!

Check-in process was fully automated with no personal greeting from the staff. After a long journey, a warm welcome would have been nice. However when we interacted with the staff later, they were all friendly and helpful. Secondly the curtains were not fully blackout. Some light came in from the sides of the curtains in the early morning, causing our toddler to wake up much earlier than usual. Overall, a highly enjoyable experience and we would gladly return in the future.

The location is exceptional, very close to Kasuga Taisha and Todaiji, across Kofukuji. You can't get a better location than this in Nara. We could see the deer from the hotel's terrace and from the room, too. We had a room with mountain view. It was a postcard view! The room was spacious and very comfy. We paid on spot for an occidental breakfast, too. It was very nice, although if you're staying for a longer period it would be good to check in advance if they offer everyday the same menu. We got exactly the same plates two days in a row. The staff were super nice and helpful! Young people - I thought some of them are students working part-time, they did their best to answer our questions and help.

The windows don't have mosquito net, it wasn't a problem for us though.

This hotel was a fantastic base for exploring Nara. It’s just a short walk to the deer park, and one of the best parts was having breakfast on the terrace while spotting deer wandering nearby—such a unique experience! The room was perfectly sized, very comfortable, and well-designed, staying true to The Share Hotels’ signature minimalist style (we stayed in another hotel of this chain in Kyoto). I especially appreciated the pajama set and high-quality amenities. The tea selection in the room was excellent.

There was one hiccup during the stay: when I opened one of the towels in the shower, I found a knot of long black hair inside. I brought it down to reception and the team immediately apologized and replaced the towels, which I appreciated.

Hotel were very modern, exactly like the pictures, dont expect too much from the breakfast but it was worth the view and still a very decent meal. There were washer+dryer combo which automatically dispense detergent. Water dispenser were available downstairs with glass jug for you to refill. Room and toilet were very clean and huge, beds were comfortable, more than ample space to open your luggages.

Humidifier that you could borrow from the lobby was the steamer type, and in use with the hairdryer for a while, it managed to trip the power. The smart TV with Netflix and Youtube, language was also in Japanese and did not allow switching to other language as it was locked, though nothing a translation app cant fix. Wished there's was more than 2 washing machine as each cycle took two hours and there's always a queue with lots of people trying to wash, and also other guest leaving their clothes in and not taking it out. Very close to Kintetsu station but it's a very very gentle upslope to the hotel, before a final short gradient. Though that means heading to the JR from the hotel was a breeze as it was all downslope.

Our room was beautiful and bright and looked over a park. (Sadly the pagoda in our view was covered by a huge shed due to a multi year restoration project). The room was spotless and stylish with a couch and a large stone coffee table. The bathroom was a good size. Minor quibbles: if you expect to sleep in bring an eye mask. The large windows let in a lot of light in the morning, even with the shutters closed. Breakfast is not a buffet which is great as it is not wasteful. But don’t expect a feast. Portions are very measured. You can eat it on a lovely terrace however. Would not recommend using the washing machines unless you want to spend hours of your time waiting for the dryer to dry your clothes. Commercial laundromats have more powerful machines. Otherwise this is an excellent boutique hotel with lovely staff and a restful ambience.

The location of the accommodation was perfect for our one night stay, close to all the main attractions of Nara. The hotel is beautiful and we were very happy with our room. The staff were exceptional; polite, helpful and friendly. They lent us umbrellas when we needed it, kept our bags for us after check-out and even ordered us a taxi to the station. We did not use the restaurant / bar, but it looked like a lovely facility with a deck overlooking the deer park.

Our room was starting to show its age with some paint chipped off the walls, as well as some of the upholstery stained.

The hotel had a beautiful modern design with a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location was perfect—very close to Nara Park and all the main attractions. The first staff member who welcomed us was super friendly and helpful. I also loved the lounge and café area—it was dreamy and a lovely place to relax.

There was no closet in the room. One of the staff members was a little unfriendly, and it took quite a long time to find a taxi from the hotel. Also, breakfast must be booked in advance even for hotel guests, which was unusual and inconvenient. The coffee was served from a vending-style machine instead of being freshly brewed, and it was quite pricey.

I was a bit nervous after booking, as some of the other reviews weren’t great, but we LOVED this hotel. It sits on the edge of Nara Park, an easy ten minute walk from the train Station, and was just super charming. We’d reserved a park view room, and were on the fourth floor, in a lovely corner room overlooking the pond. Minimalistic design, sparkling clean. SUPER excellent shower, nice toiletries. Beds were cozy and comfy, fit an adult and an elementary school kid easily. I adored the Japanese breakfast, but like others have noted, it’s not a standard breakfast for most Westerners. My husband got the Western breakfast, which was gorgeous, but not “traditional” Western food. We were lucky enough to be there for cherry blossoms, and had our breakfast outside on the patio, which was magical. I wished I could have the Japanese breakfast every morning of our whole trip.

This hotel surprised me in the best ways. Only negative was 10am checkout. I’d have loved to have been a bit more leisurely with breakfast.

I had the basement room, Due to its larger space. But i would recommend a room with a window so you can watch the sunrise and deers at the background if you are lucky enough, The room design and vibe is amazing. Its about 15-20min walk from the metro station, and not far off a market street.

I think the only downside i had with this place is the limited breakfast menu, You are limited to two options either Japanese or Western style breakfast. While they taste and look amazing. Having more options Would be amazing especially for Muslim visitors who have strict dietary restrictions.
