The onsen, kaiseki dinner, breakfast buffet and facilities are faultless. All the different spas/temperatures were fantastic to experience, and the location right next to Hell Valley can't be beaten. When you walk into the spa facilities, you are just blown away at the scale. When you go to the outdoor areas, you feel instantly relaxed looking out at nature. After the day stay, we were able to get a day pass and use the facilities after check out which we really appreciated. The kaiseki dinner was mindblowing. The prices are not cheap, but still amazing value. Would love to explore again.

We elected for the traditional Japanese room, which was wonderful, but keep in mind that the beds need to be made for you whilst you are at dinner, so not easy to lounge around on a bed/sofa in your room before then.

Their Kaiseki set dinners were an interesting experience. One should have an appreciation of seafood to truly enjoy these dinners. The quality, service and presentation were excellent. The hot bath facilities was very good, having a variety of different bath water available to try. The staff always keeping the facilities very clean and well stocked with bathe needs.

What we did not expect was the sometimes strong smell of sulfur from the surrounding steam vents. The room was fine. We got used to the smell by the second day, with the exception of my wife who began having breathing issues.

Fantastic hotel Great location with view of hell valley from the onsen One of the best onsens in Hokkaido- highly recommend staying 1 night to experience them The east building rooms are new and spacious The buffet dinner is great even for typical onsen hotels- has crab and the beef is superb Good variety of food as well

The bus that goes directly to the hotel is infrequent- do time your arrival from the JR station correctly

Staying at this hotel was the highlight of our trip to Japan. It was our first onsen experience, so I was a bit nervous about the rules and etiquette, but in the end, we enjoyed every minute of it. There are so many baths to choose from, and all the areas are very well maintained. My partner mentioned that the men’s side had a beautiful view of Hell Valley—you can actually sit in the bath and take it all in. We used the onsen early in the morning and late at night, so it never felt crowded. I also really appreciated that they provided a full range of shampoos and skincare products to use after your soak. Our room was on the main building, it was spacious and spotlessly clean. Since we stayed two nights, they let us know they would clean the room at 11 a.m. on our second day. We left at 10:55 and returned briefly at 11:25 to grab something—and by then, the entire room and bathroom were already cleaned, everything replaced, and even new sets of yukatas laid out. I couldn’t believe how fast and efficient they were! If you're planning to visit Noboribetsu, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The others didn’t look nearly as nice from the outside and didn’t seem to offer much in terms of views. This one is absolutely worth every penny.

Absolutely nothing

Hotel is super spacious, we have a twin room, new treats given everyday! Also the staff who checked in for us is an intern but really helpful even though she knows little English. Instructions were really clear regarding the onsen, suitable for people who never ever been to an onsen. Souvenir store staff were good too, tries to communicate with us although she spoke little English, - an intern as well.

What I noticed is that the FT staff doesn’t help the interns when they were having a difficult time with customers.

This hotel should be THE Onsen Hotel. There are so many different tubs inside the grand bath and outside, too. This was our first experience in a proper onsen, and we were not disappointed. We got a cupon for a welcome drink, and drinking sake in a open air bath was an experience I didn't know I needed. Breakfast was amazing, but you need to run, cause it's only served between 7 and 9am. There are restaurants inside the hotel, shops, and spa. I did a massage, which was quite good.

Nothing to complain.

There are about 14 onsens all in one place on the same floor. So amazing. I especially love the waterfall bath - so relaxing, good massage to relieve my tight muscles. There are onsens for high blood pressure, smooth complexiond, circulations, skin conditions digestions and etc. The outdoor onsen gives one the feeling experience of soaking in the forest. They have very good amenities.. We were so pleasantly surprised by their wide buffet breakfast and dinner spread.. Both are excellent! Spoilt for choices. I especially enjoyed their crab and melon ice cream. :) Will return for my next stay!

I booked the double single bed room in the south building. The room assigned was facing the forest. Clean room and comfy. Love the swimming pool area for the kids to play in. Female onsen area has several different pools which have different health benefits. Breakfast buffet was included. Wide variety of spread and good organization of crowd control. Walking distance to Jigokudani.

Parking was off site, across the hotel main building. Was not aware of this upon arrival, so there was some initial confusion. Staff told us to unload our bags and to have a member of our group do the check in, while the driver drives the car to the parking lot. It was okay I guess, if not for the fact that it was drizzling. And staff did offer an umbrella.

The best onsen hotel - both indoor and outdoor with 5 different minerals Exceptional staff from check-in to check out, when we enquired about catching the local bus and also when my husband needed help with the loose screw on his spectacles Bus from the ski field (we came from Hirafu Welcome Centre) stops right at the hotel Bus to airport just down the main street at the Noboribetsu Onsen Station (about 250m away) Great location with restaurants & souvenir shops & 7 Eleven just on the main street outside the hotel Jikogudani (Hell Valley) just a walk up the street too and from the onsen you can actually see Jikogudani Buying the tickets to the Bear Park (2700Y) & Ninja Park (3000Y) is 300Y cheaper (only cash though) from the hotel Complimentary shuttle to and fro Bear Park but not really required as we later discovered that it is within walking distance Bus to Ninja Park just across the street from hotel - 350Y Great buffet breakfast - didn't even have my normal coffee as could not resist the Hokkaido milk and Probiotics drink

We did not know about the special dinner you can get here. It would have been nice if the hotel had sent information earlier informing of the dinner and asked if we wanted this to be added to our booking.

The location is great as it is easy to access to the Noboribetsu Hell Valley and the main street. The Onsen is great particular the open-air onset. The bed is clean and comfort. The breakfast has a good variety of foods but the quality of food is an average. It is easy to reach to the hotel by bus from the train station but it may not be the case at peak seasons as it is small single deck bus. We arrived around 5pm at the train station, there was no taxi outside the train station and "GO" and "Uber" did not work there such that we had to take the bus to the hotel.

The room is just basically equipped with traditional japanese bath room, i.e. small and hard to turn around in the bath room. The check-out time is a bit early at 10am.
