We spent 6 nights there and enjoyed it very much. The location is excellent, right between Tsuruhashi and Momodani stations (both around 10 min walk). Both operate mostly on JR Osaka Loop Line service, so you can use your JR Pass to save on tickets. From Tsuruhashi there's also a direct line to Nara with Kintetsu (not supported with JR Pass). On your way to Tsuruhashi station there's a Lawson store open 24h. The room is in reality a small apartment, with a balcony and kitchenette. There were however no dishes to use, but I enjoyed having a sink - quicker to get ready in the morning. I also commend having a separate toilet and bathroom, the last of which had an excellent shower head with a smooth setting between stream and mist. A/C was working as it should, you can program it to turn on and off after a specific time interval (we used it to start in the middle of the night when temperature started to drop). There's also a remote for lighting, good to turn off lights from the bed. About the bed - this is the biggest minus of this place, so beware of it. We booked a "double room with a small bed" and it was small indeed - if both of you are larger than 75 kg, you might have a problem fitting in (we're both slim and light, so no problem for us). It's also incredibly firm - too firm for our comfort, we had to swap positions multiple times every night, which after 5 nights in a row led to a fatigue. Overall, Hotel Trad was a good place to stay, I still highly recommend it. If you're not afraid of (or like) firm beds, then you'll have a great time there.

it is only 4km away from the tourist spots, but the location is cosy and out of the noisy streets! Do choose this hotel if you want to hide yourself from the crowd but still wants to stay near to the tourist spots. my family was so happy to get this place with balcony so we can dry our clothes! we walked around to meet the local market and neighbourhood. the experience is superb! the receptionist also allowed us to store luggage after checking out.

(Not property issue but just to provide feedback) there are 2 Hotel Trad in Osaka which are located within 4km. I went to the wrong one… was about to cry as the weather was super hot and I was not feeling well. visitors, please double check your address before travelling ~

A very spacious room to be in Japan. Got nearby bakery shop.

The room cater for 3 adults but the bed is only 2 twin bed. It was a bit of struggle to sleep with 2 adults in 1 bed. Wish that the bed can be combine for 3 adults accommodation.

1. Like the fact that we could do some simple cooking using the stove inside the room. 2. Like the spacious room.

The place was very clean. Staff was very polite and accomodating. The room is also very spacious.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean.
