Was a little nervous with all the roommates I've had but they all turned out to be friendly. I am furthermore surprised on how safe it was to be staying at Osaka Guesthouse even when I still got my guard up by being extra careful with all my things being potentially stolen. Many of the people I've met turned out to be volunteers for staff as they help preserve the guesthouse which I thought was really nice. Things are really lively when it comes to being inside the lobby as well which ads spice to how friendly and safe the environment is at the guesthouse.

Nothing pretty much, despite how much less privacy is when it comes to our room I think everything is pretty decent.

Everything ! Honestly this place has everything! The beds are very comfortable , the rooms have their own curtains also! The rooms are very clean and neat The laundry and dryer service works perfectly well and really good price Kitchen with all the amenities for cooking The showers works perfectly and the bathrooms are always clean Additional the manager sometimes makes dinner for all the guest house and also there's always free ice cream Totally recommended!

- For the price, which is cheaper than a Kyoto-Tokyo Shinkansen ticket, there is really nothing to complain about. - Very near the station. - The amenities in the lobby were adequate, and useful. - The bed was roomier than expected. - Many washing and drying machines, so there was never a line. - Free popsicles were provided, and I liked snacking on them very much. - The restaurants around the guesthouse were quite cheap, and stayed open till pretty late.

- Bedside chargers are flat two-pronged outlets, not direct USB outlets.

Nice staff, there is wifi in the room and shared space, delicious free ice cream. The shampoo, conditioner, shower and face wash gel are nice.

There are 2 washrooms(1 male, 1 female) on every floor, but there is only one bidet toilet(only of 2F) All light in the room uses only one switch, so you can't just turn on/off only the one above your bed. It'll turn on all light.

A bit of a walk from the station but not horribly long. Liked the bikes available to rent while there. A group of us got a shared room and was comfortable and clean. Like the common area and kitchen as well as some treats available to guests. Very good energy. 7/11 down the street and lots of restaurants. Staff was so nice!

It would make more sense to have individual lights available even in the shared rooms as there was only one light switch to turn on all lights and a plug in night light. Guys on the floor were using the female only toilet even though there is a male one right beside it and would leave the seat up (not cool).

Room was well sized for three of us, and toilets were placed very close to our room. Location is very central, we didn't need to travel more than half an hour to get to all the main city spots. Staff and volunteers are very sociable and a good source of advice, and there's free ice cream in the common room!

The showers are slightly inconveniently on a different floor to the rooms, and reception time is fairly limited (6-9pm). There are also no windows in most of the rooms.

I had a fantastic experience, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making it easy to meet fellow travelers. The staff was incredibly helpful and always ready to give great recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The location was also super convenient, close to major attractions and public transport. I would definitely stay here again!

Osaka Guest House Nest was my first exposure to a hostel in Japan. This will not be the last time I stay at OGHN. When I first arrived, I noticed the Hanshin Tiger pins on the wall. Spoke with the owner about baseball, and he gave me a ticket to go see them! He didn't even know it was my birthday, he just likes going to social events with social people. This initial kindness after a 48 period of rough travel set the tone and tenor for the entire trip. The staff was great. The space was great. It's a hostel. Don't get your expectations up. You're not staying at a 5-star hotel. You can get anywhere in the city easily with a JR pass. The community, the ease of where OGHN is located, and the kindness of management cannot be beaten!

The only thing that confused me was accessing OGHN in the first place. There is an elevator in an entrance way. The entrance way is right next to a veterinarian clinic. Go up to the elevator, enter it, and go to the second floor. It's super easy to check in. When I was there, someone came in after check-in was complete. I tried to help him, but I think he was frustrated that he couldn't get help immediately. He (and I) didn't happen to see the after-hours phone number. So he left without getting help. The management has thought of everything, but the visibility of necessary information could be improved.

staff is cleaning the showers and toilets between 10:00-12:00, so you have to plan your shower time accordingly. towels are not included showers are only on one floor

The stay was just amazing! This must be the cleanest guesthouse we ever stayed at. The staff work everyday and clean everything including showers, toilets, rooms and common spaces. The hotel owner and receptionists are wonderful people and the staff is always there to help! The location is also great as it is a 2 minute walk away from a JR-station and you already have so many restaurants and stores in the street.
