It comes with a private onsen and a fully equipped kitchen with utensils, electric oven, microwave oven and gas stove. Living room is spacious. Sleeping at attic. If you want you can sleep in living room. This place has two camping ground and about 10 houses. They offer public onsen as well. The view is really nice. The area may not be very big. It takes about 400 to 500 walking steps to complete the whole area. View is really beautiful. Btw, they only provide bbq stuffs for u to bbq. If you don’t want to bbq(patio has bbq stove), you need to bring in your own food as meals are not provided. I like the fridge as it cooled down things real fast

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The house is comfortable, clean and spacious. The private onsen is amazing as well as a terrace with grill table. You can rent a grill set for 3000 yens, charcoal was enough for us (2 people) to have a barbecue 3 times. Location with only forests around make the stay restful, however you need to have a car even to go to the shop. Amenities in the house (e.g kitchen equipement) were also a plus, everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

For me not a problem but be aware that only toilet is inside the house. Shower is outside, near the onsen bath (however this is private area, surrended by wooden fence)

- free bath towels should be available - it was quite moist - due to that it is in the middle of the forest - 3km from city center away and rare/none bus connections

The rustic villa was clean and comfortable with the bonus of a private onsen. The bedroom with futon beds was at the 2nd storey while the ground floor was the living room, a small kitchen and a patio. While it was freezing cold outside when we were there, it was warm and cozy inside. The location was a short drive from Kurokawa hence was a good alternative for bigger groups looking for budget accommodation nearby. We almost could not make it to the accommodation due to error in the Google map which directed us to a closed road. We were desperate as it was very close to 6 o'clock, the latest check-in time. We resorted to calling the host in our broken Japanese and thankfully, the kind lady at the reception came to our rescue and led us in via a new road which was not shown in Google map.

The mini kitchen was extremely small and barely enough for one person. The shower was outdoor next to the onsen, and for folks like us from the tropics, showering in 5 DegC windy condition was tough.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our accommodation included a private onsen which allowed us to bathe after our children had gone to sleep. But there was also a public open air onsen too. The children loved the little Kurokawa onsen face towel left for them. A short drive from Kurokawa town perfect for travellers with a rental car and affordable if the guesthouses in Kurokawa town are out of your budget. Our kitchen had a kettle, gas stove, microwave and I think a rice cooker. Wish we could have stayed longer!

- has a breathtaking view - able to cook and bbq on the balcony - the kitchen has everything we need - friendly staff. They have cranked up the air con to pre-heat the house for us. - it is a camp site not a 5 star hotel so please adjust your expectation - onsen water is hot..hot...hot - tap water has an "onsen" taste but this is what expected. - tatami bed (like in Doraemon, U need to do your bed at night and in the morning) - tranquility in the morning

- The bedroom is upstairs - steep uphill to the site - old cabin/house - unstaff in the evening

EXCELLENT value for money. Complete detached building with its own private onsen bathhouse. Relatively large fridge, availability of microwave and toaster oven in addition to a kettle. Very quiet location. Good quality wifi.

The location is a bit out of the way so access to restaurants and such is limited (of course there's nothing the hosts could do about that ;) ) we ended up driving to Minamioguni and Oguni for dinner our two nights.

We loved our short stay here. The private onsen was perfect after long days hiking and travelling. The cabin had a terrace with a table you could grill on and we rented a bbq and wagyu beef set from them which was delicious. The staff were so kind and friendly. Would recommend staying here!

The scenery and direct access to the little private onsen tub from your room. huge room with fully equipped kitchen. biggest throughout my stay in Japan.

not an easy drive, quite fun tho, spotted wild tanuki and wild rabbit in the mountains behind the premise when driving in dark. 10 o'clock must keep quiet and turn off bbq pit. wish can continue until 11pm

EXTRA !!! So in love with this rental, great location (so quiet) beautiful Onsen and scenery. Staff is welcoming and very nice BBQ was optional but a great choice to make I will always come back when I come to Kyushu, please consider doing the same
