Excellent service. When I could not check in yet because it was not time, I left my luggage and went out. When we came back, our luggage was already jn the room. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Amenities were all free to take in the lobby area, which encouraged sustainably for tourists to take only what they need. Laundry self service was good too and convenient. We could get free cookie, waffles and drinks every night where the dining area would be transformed into a games room. The fire place was cosy and welcoming too. And my kids loved to find the hotel mascot (Rosso-Kun) around the hotel and got a treat upon finding it. The shuttle service was so convenient to the ski centre and train station. A lawson store is just next to the hotel too. The hotel also has a drying room for ski equipment. Really excellent and nothing more i can ask for. Breakfast was healthy and yummy. Loved the simple breakfast everyday.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the station and right near 2 convenience stores, which made everything so accessible. The room was big and spacious, providing a comfortable space to relax after a long day. Breakfast, though simple, was surprisingly delicious and offered a nice variety each morning. A special highlight was the day soba was served—it was such a treat! One feature we really appreciated was the ability to rent bicycles directly from the hotel. It gave us the freedom to explore during the day and conveniently return the bikes at night. The staff provided impeccable service. Despite language barriers, they made a great effort to understand our needs and always responded with warmth and attentiveness. Overall, a fantastic experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

The hotel location is just an easy flat 6 min walk from the JR shinkansrn station. It's a lovely little hotel with new facilities, and the hot water pressure through the rain shower is excellent. I had the family toom, which was very spacious. The free breakfast was nasic, but very sufficient. And on top of it all, the staff eas ALWAYS courteous and helpful, ftom having our room key ready when we returned before we even asked, and providing color prints of nus schedules and recommendations. I can't recommend Hotel Rosso enough for a stay in Karuizawa.

I thought it was one of those "simpler" hotels, but it turns out it was so (unusually) well staffed. Service was also much more attentive than I anticipated. While they said they provide a "simple" breakfast, it was again more than I thought. In addition to bread, there was a simple salad bar, with a selection of egg and sausage. You get the point. There are not many hotels in Karuizawa, and they are not cheap either. Given that, the price point of Hotel Rosso is relatively a bargain. Despite that, it greatly exceeded my expectations!

Very good location, minutes away from JR Karuizawa. Convenience store just right next to it. Generous sized rooms. Free shuttles to and fro ski centre and train station. Very friendly staff. Perfect family friendly accommodation. They had a welcome drink corner with light snacks and a fire place that kept the restless kids (travelling as 2 families with 3 preschoolers!) entertained while we check in. They also had a find where's Rosso mascot campaign that kept the kids busy the entire stay, and they still speak of it fondly today! We would love to go back again 10/10!

Beds were extremely comfortable. Room was fantastic in size. There were drinks for most of the day to help yourself to. There were games in the evening for anyone to play. Chess, reversi, Go, etc. Washing machine and dryer was a plus and breakfast had a reasonable spread. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Location is walking distance to the train station and walking distance to the outlet mall. Also possible to walk to the old town. Parking was easy. There was a Lawson right next door and a huge Family Mart 3 mins away. 100% recommend.

Good location close to the train and bus station. Staff was extremely friendly, They gave good recommendation on how bus tracks and other points of interest nearby. We got a perfectly cleaned room and there were perfect white sheets and a pretty good breakfast. The Welcome Drink and the afternoon game room setup in the cafeteria was a nice surprise which my son enjoyed. Also the fact that we were always welcomed by the staff at the hotel door when we came back from our walks was a great touch.

1. Quiet location and only 5 minutes walk to the car rental and 10 minutes walk from JR and Coach station. 2. There is a convenient store Lawson right behind the hotel. 3. I enjoyed my Breakfast. Even though it is not a buffet I still think it is a good selection of different types of food including curry + rice, salad, boiled eggs, coffee, etc. 4. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed that one of the staff welcome you at the front door and also showed me how to use their paid laundry service.

For a 3 star hotel, room is of a good size, with sufficient space for luggage and to move around. Toilets are big. It has a good location, within a short walking distance of Karuizawa Station and also the Prince shopping outlets. Hotel reception staff were friendly and readily recommended local yakiniku restaurants to us.

We appreciate the free breakfast. Perhaps, there can be a little more variety and some day to day variations for those who stay more than 1 night.

We really like this hotel as the room was much bigger after staying in Tokyo. Nice quiet neighbourhood and just a short walk from Karuizawa Station (7 mins walk). We stayed 5 nights. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The hotel has shuttle to the Karuizawa train station and the ski centre but we walked everyday. Our room faced the front of the hotel and we were lucky - we experienced our first snow fall! even though we have seen lots of snow before but not a heavy snowfall. It was wonderful to see the change in landscape - to a white winter wonderland! Karuizawa is nice - it is slower paced and not crazily crowded. We made daytrips to Yuzawa, Kogen Church etc. There is a premium outlet beside the train station, a Lawson outlet just behind the hotel - so convenient. Buses, taxis, lockers are all located near the train station (walking distance)
