My travels in Japan confirmed total commitment by staff to their role. Grampus is ageing, but aging well. A great collection of 'natural' Onsen pools, separate for men and women. A serene view for breakfast with guests often dressed in yukata. Easy access to bus transport and short walks.

I selected Grampus knowing that there were shared washroom/toilets. Which were in good proximity to rooms and didn't worry me at all! The hotel is non-smoking but has an internal smoking room that may have had a bit of 'leakage'.

Location is very close to the cliff and can see a good sunset. Express bus to Osaka is just outside the hotel entrance.

Breakfast: Rice, salmon fish, miso soup, egg, ham and plum. Room not used often and dust collected on furniture. No provision of drinking water.

well it was not hotel fault but I found cockroach in the outdoor public bath (It probably came from the outside) so I would recommend hotel to develop some countermeasures

I liked the interior design of the hotel, it’s very different compared to the other hotels I’ve been in. The rooms were pretty nice too!

I didn’t expect the bathroom and shower to be separated until I realized there was an onsen there for male and female. I also didn’t know that the bathrooms were separated from our actual rooms. That didn’t bother me too much but it was different. I think the beds could be a little softer or have more cushion to them to make them a bit more comfortable. I also don’t like the smell of cigarettes which I believe that had a designated area for that but I could smell it pretty strongly sometimes while walking up and down the hallways. I also think the breakfast options can be enlarged a bit especially for those with dietary restrictions or other options.

The location is great, just behind the bus stop "Senjyojiki". Room is spacious and with comfortable mattress. Public Onsens (both inside and outside) were nice too!

A little pitty that the outside Onsens were not available in the mornings though it was said to be available on weekends mornings...

Just a few minutes walk from the bus stop, and very near to the sandanbeki cliffs. Spacious room for a reasonable price. I also liked that it has 3 diff typer of outdoor hotspring. It was a pity we couldn't use it in the morning though.

The breakfast was a little bland i guess? No hot water in the rooms.

my room has 2 beds and the onsen both indoor and outdoor are huge.

The onsen was really nice and I enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were overall really friendly and helpful.

A typhoon hit during our stay and none of the windows sealed properly, so water came into our room. We also saw a cockroach outside the onsen and told staff, but the next morning it was still there and we had to report it again.

property is very close to the bus stop, literally across the road, easy to navigate to on bus from train station, it was a few minutes walk down to the cliffs, spectacular view, even when it rained and if your there in time for the waves they are awesome to watch

be advised it is a public shower and bathing facility with shared toilet on each floor of the wing your room is on and they have a no tattoo policy for the public bath
