Great homestay with host and family. Fantastic service by host. Host prepared a delicious complimentary meal for our first night with complimentary sake. Rooms and amenities and neat and clean. Heaters, showers are warm. There's drinking water, coffee, cold drinks in the pantry, hall and fridge. There's a hot tub to soak in. Automated toilet. Great location when driving. 3-5min drive to highway to travel to neighbouring attractions. 5min drive to grocery, shopping and restaurants. There's a parking lot in the shed in front of the house. Highly recommended and will stay again in future.

The street in front is a bit noisy and it’s best to have a car to get there. Though our host has been exceptional in giving us rides.

Second time staying at Relaxing House de Akemi and it was a pleasure once more staying there. They are so accommodating they make it feel like a second home. They serve delicious food and help out in traveling to and from the station and to any local attractions you might want to see.

Beautiful typical old Japanese style house with 80 years of history. The owners were extremely welcome and warmhearted. Definitely something you should consider if you want to experience real Japanese Omotenashi.

The hospitality of the owners was absolutely outstanding. They were extremely welcoming, even provided us fresh sashimi and sake when we arrive at night. We also had an amazing time the next night as we had a great time conversing and they AGAIN served us sake and traditional toyama dishes, all for no extra charge! They have a nice small farm beside and next morning they gave us fresh yield from the farm (onions, ptatoes, piman, shishito and what not!). The place was excellent, comfortable, neat, great location by the road.This is the best experience I have ever had while travelling.

Akemi was a wonderful hostess, she was friendly and tried her best to communicate with us even though we did not speak Japanese. When I come back to Japan I will be staying with her again!

Akemi was a wonderful hostess. We ate together and had a great time. She cooked us a delicious meal with local products, sake and a huge breakfast, it felt just like home. The house is very beautiful and peaceful. We'll be sure to come back !

It was a beautiful traditional Japanese experience. very welcoming and comfortable! The family are so lovely and make you feel like part of the family. They went all out to help us with services and food (which was very delicious)! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Imizu.
