For a great price, you get a beautiful Japanese-style room. I was so happy with the room. You just have to keep in mind that this isn’t a luxury hotel. For me, this stay was about the experience of Japanese culture. The hotel provides towels and even bathrobes free of charge. There are showers on the ground floor, but most importantly there is a great hot tub. I of course tried that one and it was really great! The lady at the front desk was incredibly nice, she explained everything to me and was very helpful with advice when I needed it. I was feeling very welcomed at the hotel, the atmosphere was super friendly. I stayed at 10 different places while I was in Japan. This one was my favorite by far! I recommend this especially to solo travelers like me!

The walls are quite thin, so you can sometimes hear noise in the room from the corridor and adjacent rooms.

Accessible location by bus 42 from Asakusa Station and a short walk. Very good price for the stay at JPY 3000++ per night. Tatami mat adds a nice touch to the room. General area is relatively quiet, good if you prefer to stay away from crowds. They have a bath house as well, though I didn't get to to try it as I've been out most of the day and there's a timing for using the bath house.

There's a door curfew till 12mn only. Make sure to return to hotel before that time, or be locked out. Stair steps are bit too high, lift is very cramped for two people.

Extremely kind and patient staff, I asked him to repeat more slowly in Japanese, and he did it very gently. Also helped me with some English words. Good room, and you even have an onsen! Please be sure to respect the culture when coming. The slippers you have on your room are there because you shall not use your shoes inside! Same for the bathroom ones, pls use them when entering in it. Really cheap, worth the money! すごかったです~ どうもありがとうございました。

Some Chinese tourists were really loud during my stay, but I guess they didn't know about Japanese rules. (Always be aware of others and be respectful).

- the staff was very friendly and helpful - the location was great! quiet but convenient. the bus station and a supermarket are right around the corner - everthing was clean - the room was very big and enough for myself as a solo traveler

- since the bathrooms were for men and women together, it was a little uncomfortable sometimes - some guests were smoking in the hallway so it sometimes smelled unpleasant because it came a bit into the room

Staff was helpful and so nice to me even i got sick there they keep asking about le and health so lovely The location was near from Minami-senju station Near to Asakusa old town and the skyline, sumida river and many attractions

The room was small and you can hear everything from your neighborhoods. What i didn't like is that they didn't change the bed ( covers, pillows..) everyday like the other hotels, they only change it when someone check out . You need to ask them to change it for you and they will. There's only one bath near to the reception for all guests

Exceptional private room for a low fare. The room is pretty clean, and there are big windows that I could open to let in fresh air. The room was specious enough for my suitcases after rolling out my bed. There was also a quiet airconditioning that I used, it worked very well.

Public spaces are a little bit dated. Had to pay with cash, no nearby bankmachines that excepted my creditcards (only visa’s) so had to walk ten minutes to the nearest seven eleven.

The location is somewhat near to the tourist spots and there are nearby food Stores. They even provide free drinking water, you just have to have your own empty bottle, and i love also their hot green tea dispenser, you can have it anytime you want.

I hope they offer new towels and linen for the guests atleast every other day.

Private room for a great price, great hospitality and support from the staff, decent location if you want to stay in Asakusa.

- Very strong smell of the tatami when I first opened the door, it's like the room has been closed and imbued with the tatami for a decade. - Only 2 bathrooms on the ground floor, small and uncomfortable. - The location is so-so: 15 mins walk from the nearest station but 10 seconds from the nearest bus-stop. Very far from entertainment districts like Shibuya or Shinjuku. Nothing interesting around the house (anything cool requires a 15-20mins walk toward Senso-ji).

The hotel staff are friendly and responsive on Booking.com and the hotel isn't that far from two major train lines (about 15 minutes from Minami-Senju Station which has the Jōban Line and Hibiya Line). The location is also accessible by taxi from Ueno Station (around 15 minutes / ¥2,100 without traffic) if you have heavy bags with you. There are plenty of convenience stores, laundry shops, and small supermarkets around the hotel, too. It's perfect if you want a good place to experience sleeping in a Japanese-style room (tatami mat, mattress, and futon).

There is a 12:00am curfew and the doors don't open again until 7:00am. They give you a code to use on the intercom outside in case you come back late but otherwise plan to head home early to be safe.

The room, despite its very small size, was clean and very comfortable. It might seem that not much can fit there, but this is not true, the room is equipped with various types of shelves and cabinets which allows even the largest luggage to easily fit. I don't recommend the room to stay in all day, but it is more than adequate as a place to sleep and rest after a day of sightseeing the city. The bathroom, although clearly old, is very clean and well equipped. in the toilet there is always plenty of toilet paper and in the shower you can always find a full package of shampoo and soap.
