located within a quiet neighborhood, no outside noise or traffic. friendly staff. room was exactly has advertised. When we checked in, the front desk clerk took us directly to the room and showed us how to work everything from the wifi, tv remote, remote to control the heat/air, etc. He even made sure we knew how to use the washer/dryer and the stove.

there were two hotel SAILS within a mile of each other and it wasn't clear which one we were booked at. Ended up going to the wrong location then had to book another taxi to get us and our luggage to the right one. Even when you go back into your booking or website, it's not clear.

The size of the room is comfortable for four and the washing machine and drying facilities in the bathroom make it really convenient to wash clothes. The sink and dining area is spacious so we buy back some fruits to eat after dinner. Walking at night seems quite safe as this is mostly residence so not so much nightlife here.

But the bed is not the most comfortable because it’s single bed and not super single. The location is a short walk from the mrt but the station is not the most convenient station so it takes around 1 hr to go shinjuku by train.

This was our first night in Japan and I messed up our reservation but they were gracious and understood that we only needed one night. We could’ve stayed there longer. This hotel is only a couple stops from sensoji Temple. Price is reasonable but best of all, their hospitality is great. Taka was extremely helpful and always came to our room if we needed anything- Wi-Fi, laundry, room temp. We felt like house guests instead of customers. The shower was delightful and the laundry was a huge plus for families like mine. I love the automatic toilet that felt so comfy. I like how clean the room was. I like everything. Only caveat that I can think of was it was quite warm and a bit hard to get to if you don’t have a good sense of direction like me.

It’s about a 7 min walk to subway and/or a min walk to the bus stop . Location is great for us but maybe not for all. We could not find restaurants nearby that were big enough for a family of 5.

It was clean, close to the station and tucked in a place where the neighborhood is quiet. It was very close to a 7/11. Our balcony had a view of the tokyo tower! Very cool! The staff was very helpful and spoke english very well. They assisted us in every thing we needed from umbrella to shipping our luggage to our next destination.

The minowa station which is closest to this location is a little out of the way from the main stations. If you know how to navigate the tokyo subway system, then it shouldn’t be a concern

The facility is very clean and the hotel managers are very friendly and detail-oriented. They keep guests' luggage before check-in and after check-out, which is very convenient because we don't have to carry our luggage with us all day if we cannot find large lockers at the subway station. The rooms are pretty spacious in comparison with most of the other Tokyo hotel rooms. It can comfortably fit up to 4 people. The bathroom is standard with a shower and a bath tub. Toilet is separated in its own space. Our room is equipped with laundry machine + dryer, microwave, a stovetop, etc. which is a big plus for travelers who want to enjoy a few simple meals in the hotel during an extended stay. The neighborhood is very quite and safe with a few convenience stores within 5-10 minutes walk. Metro station is within 5-7 minutes walk too. The location is easy to access.

If you want to stay out late in the central area of Tokyo then this is not your ideal location because it is a bit out of the way and you usually have to transfer to get to your final destinations. Tokyo metro/subway stops at around midnight so you are forced to finish your daily evening adventure a bit earlier than desired in order to get back safety on a budget, that is not by Uber or taxi. The sound proof of rooms is on a weaker side. The guests above us walk around day and night, sometimes during odd hours when we need to rest. Their foot steps made loud stamping sounds. We could also hear people talking in the hallway outside our door, even with normal volume, we thought the sound is a bit too loud.

Charming and efficient little hotel! Hotel Sails is a cute, compact space with a smart and thoughtful layout—everything you need without feeling cramped. The staff were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond, even helping us ship our luggage ahead to our hotel in Osaka, which was a huge help. The location is a bit off the typical tourist path, but still very accessible. Minowa Station is just a 5–7 minute walk, and it’s easy to catch a train or bus to get wherever you need to go. if you’re looking for a peaceful and quieter Tokyo neighborhood, Hotel Sails is a lovely option.

the beds and pillows are quite firm, so if you’re used to softer, more plush sleeping arrangements, it might take a night to adjust.

The room was perfect for a group of 3 , separate beds which is nice. And the rooms are divided, separate bedroom/ bathroom/toilets/ living room. It had everthing what we needed . It did not felt like a hotel more as a home stay because there were not many rooms I think 15 rooms? It was a small scale type of hotel which we liked. Hotel is located in a residential area therefor, its peacefull and quiet. And you will be staying in a less touristic area. Location, For us no problem but it was a little bit further from the big cities. But there is a metro line (hibaya-line) which was less then 10 minutes walking from the hotel. And that line is great it goes pass station such as ueno, ginza and makes it easy for transits. Besides that the subway of japan is easy and fast. Also, there is a 7-eleven arround the corner like 2 minute walking fron the hotel Lastly, the staff that worked there were such nice people and very helpfull. Especially the manager Taka! We wanted to send our luggage to the next location and he helped us so well with it and everthing went so smoothly. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we will go to japan!

For our stay we were very satified so no complain.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sails Tokyo Asakusa. The place was spotless, and everything I needed was provided — from a washing machine and pajamas to kitchen utensils and cutlery. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always making me feel welcome. Every morning they prepared free coffee for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet it’s just a short walk to the famous Sensoji Temple and very close to the subway station, making it easy to explore the rest of Tokyo. Within 200 meters you can also find two Seven-Eleven convenience stores, which was very convenient. Overall, I would rate this cosy hotel a 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo!

The rooms were lovely and clean and had everything we needed. As the weather was wet while we were there, we really appreciated the drying function in the bathroom - everything was dry by the next morning. It was handy to have a fridge and laundry facilities and we felt really comfortable staying at Hotel Sails. I must compliment the staff as well who went out of their way to help us find a place to ship our luggage for collection in Kyoto and helped us to fill out the forms for the luggage company with all the correct details.

Everything was lovely, there was nothing to complain about all.

The room is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is convenient and close to Ueno district which is a busy area and is also close to Akihabara, the electronic and anime capital of Tokyo. It is a little tricky to get the train to Minowa station and to find the hotel from this station. But once you familiarise yourself with the transport system, it's not too bad. It is the fun of travelling anyway, to explore the city on public transport.

Nothing really, it was a very nice hotel.
