We loved our stay at KyuKyu Hotel. We loved the tatami and futon on the floor for me. My three kids had a single bed each. There was a low table and we sat on the floor, Japanese style. (This would not suit older Westerners who can't get up and down easily.) It was a short walk from Minowa Metro Station (with a lift to ground level). There were more than three supermarkets on the same block plus two convenience stores (even more if you exit from the other end of the station). We stayed in room 701 up the top with a balcony. It was perfect. It was quiet, especially on the weekend. We stayed seven nights and found the staff always accommodating. If I emailed a question or request, they responded within an hour, which was great. They changed my towels (I was a long stay), even my sheets, mattress protector and doona cover (after a child accident), plus collected mail for me two times. They lent us umbrellas too on our final rainy day, and even other days to go to the convenience store. They also stored our luggage, and called for a taxi when we left for Nippori Station. The room was modern and in great condition. The laundry washing detergent liquid was beautiful! I already miss that scent. Love, love, loved it! There was a vacuum cleaner in the room, and a portable clothesline. I bought some hanging clips from the 100yen shop to hang socks, etc. I put my line out on the balcony, and the clothes dried easily. The shower worked well and was warm. It is Japanese style. The toilet was modern and with a seat warmer. And the toilet room was separate from the shower room, which was perfect. The sink area was modern and clean with a good light and storage space. there are a few clothes hangers and hooks to hang a couple shirts. I would love to return to this apartment hotel.

I found hairs on the tatami and under the mattress. I used the vacuum cleaner to clean them up myself. The vacuum cleaner smelt really bad, but at least we had one to keep our room clean. There was a stain on my sheets. I got anxiety over sorting the recyclable rubbish. I tried very hard to sort all our rubbish into only two bags. Maybe I did it wrong, but I tried but very hard.

The property was in a good location. The train station is a 5 minute walk. There is. 7/11 a few minutes walk away. The facilities were ok. The driers were very useful as it was quite humid when we stayed. Having washing machine in the room was great. The beds were fairly comfy however, the kids did complain the futon mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable.

Our bathroom had a very unpleasant damp/mildew smell which was quite overpowering on some days. However, we only really slept and showered in the room and was able to close the door off the hide the smell.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Location is great- close to bus station and Hibiya Line if you like to go to Ginza, 六本木, 池袋 area this is a great location. The room is spacious which is unbeatable for its price. We have two large luggages and both our luggages can open flat. The room has its own washing machine which is great.

The first night we stayed I noticed a smell coming from the air conditioner, a smell like a bit of damp smell. Maybe the filter needs a bit of cleaning/ replace. During our last night new guests lived above our floor kept stumping and walking heavily from upper level which was pretty bothering. Overall it was a nice stay will re-consider to visit next time.

Location was right near Minowa station, with convenience stores close by, as well as various places (Sukiya, Dominos) to eat. Beds were comfortable, covers were just right. Washing machine was a delightful bonus. Tatami sitting area added a lot of space to the room. A room this large in Tokyo would normally be much more expensive. Room was clean and neat. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. No traffic noise overnight. No noise from other guests.

Not a lot to improve for this budget place. The recycling/trash setup was a bit of a challenge, but soon worked it out. Carpet was looking a little stained in a couple of places, but now I'm just nitpicking. Would happily recommend Kyukyu Hotel!

The price of room fee is cheap if you want to save money. The location is Okay near Minowa Station just within a short walk distance. Besides, you can get access to supermarket or other convenience stores nearby. The heating system is the most helpful of all during the winter season of Tokyo. The hot water was also OK while showering. WiFi and most of toiletries are also provided except toothbrush and toothpaste.

The lock of the door in my room needed inserting several times to open the door.

This place is simple. Which is what we wanted for 2 adults and 2 young teens. We had three single beds and one futon which the kids both loved. The price was great, booked 9 months in advance. We loved having a washing machine in our room! Separate loo from shower room. Very close to konbinis and Y’s supermarket. We had our own kettle, fridge and microwave in the hall. Easy walk to Ueno park or Asakusa or fast buses. Also v close Minowa metro station on the grey Hibiya line. Quiet at night. It was a big room for 4 people and we enjoyed the space and air con when we first arrived and wanted down time.

Not obvious places to eat out locally at night, around Minowa station is the best bet. Prob not great if you want to party but great for families or groups.

Location was good! Just 5 min walk from the metro, and 15 min walk from a JR Station. Although small, the room was really comfortable.

Washer and dryer no cost to use (including detergent). Fridge, microwave (shared), hot water heater for drinks, just really good amenities

The most difficult to book. After booking HD to do their own website to do an extra confirmation required passport pictures, lots of information and on my phone reset 3x making a simple confirmation far more tedious than any other hotel we stayed in

Close to 7 Eleven and a few other convenience stores, 10 minute short walk to Minowa station, quiet area, a few small temple and shrines within 2 blocks, 2 train stops to Akihabara and Ueno, room is spacious for 4 people, clean bathroom, fridge and microwave, washer, good fast elevator, good AC,

Carpet is dated, bed is a bit too firm for us but clean
