The room appears to be well-maintained and organized. Both the room and the bathroom are spacious, allowing for a comfortable walk around. There is ample space available for storage purposes. I appreciate the absence of carpeting, as it eliminates any potential odors.

I didn't anticipate the absence of towels, which is the only thing that's bothering me. But considering the affordable price, I guess I shouldn't have expected more. It would be great though if the description mentioned that we need to bring our own towels.

The coziness of both the interior as well as the people were top-notch. My partner and I stayed there for two nights after hustling about Shibuya / Shinjuku and it was an excellent change of pace, being able to walk around the area where things are much calmer. The only regret I had was that I didn't stay longer! Takahisa-san truly cares about his customers and it was very apparent that both the hotel and restaurant were maintained with lots of TLC. Definitely going to return to this place when I visit Japan again!

The twin room was spacious enough, they provided extra bed which i did not use. The amenities is more than enough. I like the location as it's near to Ueno. Around the hotel there are supermarket, shops, restaurants, vending machines (got my canned coffee every morning), eateries and the tram which we used once, somehow really remind me of The Spirited Away. We arrived early and they were so kind to let us checked in when the room was ready. The nearest train station is Hibiya which is only 2 stops away from Ueno, took only 6 minutes walk. The staffs are very kind and helpful. There are comments about the side doors which worried me actually, but turned out there is nothing to worry about and not a problem for us travelling with a 9 y.o.

The password changes everyday. A little bit troublesome when we carried lots of things.

Stayed for 8 nights and loving Toden hotel because of its location and the room size is nice. To give an illustration, all 6 large luggages fit and we still have some walking space. It is huge for a Japan standard. The best are also so comfortable that a good night's sleep is always guaranteed. Staff are friendly and nice, though some ate not fluent English speakers. We can get by by a translator app. Location is near Hibiya line and the tram which makes it so accessible and at the same time away from the touristy places. A plus for me was the market right across, a bakery and a Michellin awarded ramen shop within a few metres away. A konbini is also around the area within a few steps

A few commmunication gaps with my multiple bookings and once it was sortrd was all ok. Access is via emergency door if before and after cafe hours (9am - 5pm) so make sure you get the codes during check in. Tjey are responsive in the Booking app.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Rooms were larger than the other hotels in Tokyo. Arakawa City seems to be quieter than the other places that we stayed around Tokyo. There were more locals about. The hotel is situated in a mini market area, so it was nice to go out in the morning to see locals set up their stores. You can get fresh produce nearby. The local fruits were juicy and great. There is a toden tram station a couple blocks away from the hotel. For any train nerds, feel free to check it out. It is a pretty cool 1 carriage tram.

There was a weird poop smell in our room and we had no idea where it is coming from. It seemed to get better when we refrained from turning on the bathroom ventilators. So we didn't use the ventilators for the rest of the stay.

The hotel was very cute and clean. The owner went above and beyond.

We loved the aesthetic of the place. The room, though small, was quite comfortable. Everything was super clean. It had good storage space for clothes. There was shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gel, plus toothbrushes and toothpaste. They also left us tea and cookies. The AC was a bit tricky to figure out, but then it worked well.

It was a bit of a hassle to have to deal with codes, especially different ones every day.

Good location less than 100 metes from the Toden Tram and about 500 metres to the train. Lots of food options and supermarkets within walking distance. The rooms are nicely decorated, comfortable and very quiet. While the facility doesn't have a patron laundry, there is a coin-operated laundry less than 100 metres from the hotel. The onsite café offers good quality, well priced meals in a very comfortable settings.

I had read that the location was on a direct train link to Narita Airport. It actually requires a transfer at Ueno Station but that was still very easy.

We had the suite and it is just beautiful ! Japanese style, great details everywhere. We slept on the tatamis, very comfortable. The area is quiet (We were also wondering if we were the only clients there bc it was so quiet) there are not that many restaurants / stores nearby but we managed to find what we needed and found a great okonomiyaki place very close by + groceries and a bakery. The area is not touristy, which we liked. Not far from Ueno. This place does not feel like much like a hotel. Its on top of a coffee shop (no noise at all) and the owner works at the coffee shop... Everybody there was very nice to be honest but just dont expect to get the attention/service you would get in a hotel. Its more like renting an apartment feeling like, which we didnt mind.

A bit far from the center and take 10 min walk to station. No new tower or room service for the second and third day of stay. But overall still very happy with the room
