I have to start off with saying the staff was absolutely amazing! Second thing I really liked about this hotel was the view of the sky tree. The roof top was perfect way to relax and unwind from the day and watch the lights on the sky tree. My husband and I walked to seven 11 and got breakfast and took it to the rooftop! Hands down amazing experience.

Having to leave to go home

Best service I ever met! The staff take care of everything we need and try to keep us happy beyond our expectations. As we arrived we got ice cream and alcoholic drink 🍸. It seems that everything in the hotel is brand new, it was super clean The hotel design with good combination of traditional Japanese style with latest technology. (Smart key, automatic light, toilet and more) Bonus: a balcony in the room with nice view of the skytree

Booking . com says this is a 1 star hotel - but this is not the case- more like 4-5 stars. The delightful owner Reina greeted us at the door, with slippers for us all and a locker for our shoes, made us tea and coffee and gave us snacks. The owner has good English as do her staff. The rooms had Yakata for everyone. We booked the 2 bedroom flat - one room had very comfortable beds and a balcony .and the other was futon style. The building is very modern, and it felt very like living in a Japanese house rather than an ordinary hotel room in the flat. The bathroom was excellent, doubling as a drying room after we had washed our clothes. The kitchen is simple, with a hob and a microwave and kettle, fridge and freezer, but we managed with making breakfast from the "Big A" supermarket less than 2 minutes walk It was well situated for the Sky Tree . and also for the OSHIAGE station, where you can get to most places all over Tokyo. The near side 15 - 20 mins eg to Ueno- and 30-40 mins to the other side of Tokyo, 50 mins to Odaiba It is right on a direct route to Hanida or Narita Disneyland was easy enough We preferred to travel a bit on the train and have a quiet area to live in , rather than be in the crowds all the time The Sky tree malls have loads of shopping and eating places- and Reina directed us to a great Korean BBQ place near by We cant say enough about how good this place is - really clean and exceeding our expectations The roof terrace is really good for stunning views of the Sky Tree Although the owner was not on site, she was always accessible You can come and go as you wanted Bedding & Towels changed regularly The washing machine was free and worked well , once instructions understood Reina let us leave our luggage on check out day until we went to the airport in the evening Cannot fault this hotel at all - really sad to move on

Cannot think of anything - perhaps mug size cups , and a few extra cups in each room - but only as a suggestion a we drink a lot of hot drinks - not a criticism

The property was exceptionally clean. The location was very handy and easy commute even to the city. The staff were delightful friendly and couldn’t have been more accommodating. It felt like a nice safe location. Lots of people walking around in the street after dark great little restaurants just around the corner.

Absolutely loved our stay in this hotel! It was perfect - very clean, very friendly staff and helpful, rooftop has washing machine and a place to hang clothes, the view of the Tokyo sky tower was beautiful from the balcony and rooftop. Yukata made for us to our sizes was a beautiful touch and much appreciated.

What a place. What a find. Sola Hotel is a great home from home for any trip to Tokyo. Located on a quiet residential street just a 5 minute walk from exit B1 of Oshiage train station, it has links to everywhere in the city (make sure to get your Suica card on your phone to tap and go). There’s a small supermarket called “Big A” diagonally across the street and a number of 7-Elevens and Family Marts within 5 minutes walk too, meaning you’re never short of being able to get provisions, such as bakery goods, milk, Kelloggs breakfast cereals, sushi, or even takeaway dinners if you just want to chill in the room. As a family of four, we had an apartment composed of a normal double room with kitchen area - complete with large fridge-freezer, cooking hob and microwave, and table that sat four - as well as a Japanese-style double room for the kids. There was also an outside balcony and seating with amazing views of the Sky Tree. Perfect for a Suntory gin and tonic, or Akashi beer, as the sun goes down. The hotel staff were really lovely, with cold beer and soft drinks waiting for us in the room, as well as a special welcome drink on arrival. Coffee, soft drinks and snacks were also available complimentary from reception. There’s also a water fountain on each floor with cold, filtered, water to fill up your bottles before heading out. What else? There’s a roof terrace with chairs and soft furnishings with an even better view of the Sky Tree tower, the room was cleaned every other day, and there was ample storage space for three large suitcases in the cupboard out the way. Japanese robes were provided for the family, the air con was superb, and the room had lots of plug sockets and USB points for charging all the devices. Oh, and there is complimentary laundry with a washing machine upstairs. So pleased we found this property and booked it up almost a year in advance.

Fantastic location in quieter area within easy reach of Asakusa (15 mins bus), City Centre (25 mins metro). Loads of great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast a little more challenging as coffee shops open later than in West but there’s a 7/11 and Big A supermarket within few minutes walking where you can buy all you need to create breakfast in your room. Room is reasonable size by Japanese standards, we had three people with one in Japanese style room and two in bedroom. Kitchen area has small table and equipped with electric grill plus kettle. Shower and bathroom are big with very effective shower. Air conditioning excellent. Lovely rough top sitting area with view of Skytree. Very friendly helpful staff who booked restaurants for us. Very clean and well kept property.

Perhaps needs a bit more cupboard space or a drawer to put things away but we got used to it.

Excellent stay. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Excellent communication and attention to detail. From late check in to organising bag transfer there was nothing that was an inconvenience. Myself and my husband stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of our honeymoon trip to Japan. We would recommned to anyone. The facilities are excellent, beds so comfortable, shower lovely all the amenities in the room so modern. Very handy to have a washing machine on site. Location in a very quiet area close to convenient stores and Oshaige/ Skytree station. Beautiful view from rooftop balcony of Skytree at night. Would definitely stay again

The location is very close to sky tree, Oshiage station. Good grocery stores and fresh veggie shop close by. It is a very nice quiet residential area with good supermarkets around the corner. The skytree is about 7-8 mins walk and the entrance is from the station itself. There is also a shopping mall attached to skytree with loads of good shopping and restaurants. The rooms were decent with very comfortable beds, clean, spic and span, clear instructions for everything. There is a very cute lobby and u can have a cup of tea or coffee with some cookies all day. The room has a refrigerator with a few soft drinks and even a beer for consumption on complimentary basis. U can't ask for more. I must make a special mention of Dongyue & Hoki always smiling and helpful. Lena is the owner of the place and went out of her way to give is a little parting gift when we left. The housekeeping lady too did an immaculate job. Everyone made us welcome straight from their heart ❤️ The whole place has lovely vibes and yes, next time around too we will definitely stay here.
