This hotel is wonderful. On top of a Hill, with beautiful view to Utoro City. There's a large lobby with snacks, tea, coffee so after returning from a day excursion, we always spent 30min relaxing at lobby. There's a nice shop with many souvenirs. Onsen was amazing and clean. Many different tubs with different temperatures. Ice cream and pocari sweat available. We didn't have breakfast included but we pay extra for a day and the buffet was simply delicious. Many options and everything we tried was excellent.

The staff is not well prepared for foreigns yet. We had trouble to get instructions on how to arrive at hotel with public transportation. It was also difficult to understand options for hikes and tours available as well as to organize takyubin. I think they are not used to have that many visitors from outside Japan. Nevertheless, we could notice they were all trying their best to help us.

The hotel is in good shape. The food is good there. they provide lots of different dishes and unlimited Sapporo beer from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The onsen is good. The stuff there are super polite. Just enjoy the stay. It is also in working distance to a famous spot to watch the sunset there by the sea.

The food provided are tasted similar even though the menu are changed daily. (I think 50% of the dishes are changed daily). So, I recommend stay there for up to 2 days or you may fell bored of the food there. Also, there is no crab or sea urchin on the menu.

This hotel has thought of everything... from the welcome and expert check in, to waving us goodbye when we drove away at the end of our stay. The public bath set up is amazing and being allowed to go in when it's closed to take photos at 9.30-10am was much appreciated. We enjoyed our expansive mountain and sea views from our room. Meals were tasty and there were many options to choose from. We also enjoyed watching the promotions of the Shiretoko attractions in the comfort of the lounge chairs.

I found the quilt a little too warm for my liking.

It's beautiful, located very well for Shiretoko touring, very nice large comfortable room, with a large window. The meals are extremely varied and good.

I cannot eat gluten. Thankfully, everything containing gluten was marked. But during dinner my options were quite limited, out of a very rich, varied buffe. I would appreciate some more options, especially basics such as a single soup that's GF, or one sauce at least. Cooked vegetables were mostly prohibited, and those can easily be made GF.

The lounge and the breakfast. Free beer, coffee and beverages at the lounge. We can sit and relax ourselves at the lounge with beer or coffee. Breakfast was awesome. Lots of variety of Japanese food. Couldn't have asked for more.

Very difficult to find eatery around the area. Have to go out of the area to look for food. The curtains can be improved to block the sun rise at 3-4 am.

Beautiful hotel, the buffet was really nice, marked with allergens which is great for me as someone with multiple food allergies and celiac. The room we got was really spacious. The surroundings are beautiful, there is a 7-11 in Utoro which is convenient, but you are also so close to the park and anything going out of Utoro (boat tours). The staff were very polite and helpful. Also nice to have laundry. The common areas and free amenities were also very nice and relaxing. Really enjoyed it.

The dryers are very weak and slow if you want to do laundry here it might take a long time.

Modern, clean and not overly crowded and very good breakfast and good quality scrumptious buffet style dinner with free flow of alcoholic and non alcohol drinks for dinner only. The indoor bath is also very clean and good with free ice lollies to enjoy after. At the lobby lounge area, there is a huge theatre screen to watch playback of Shiretoko Nature, display of books items for browsing and a section offering free coffee, drinks, sweets and snacks. Room is big and brightly lit , have separate bath, sink and toilet areas. We have a Seaview room with very comfortable twin beds.

Big windows with great view of the port. Spacious room. Good coffee dip-bags. Gooseneck pour-over electric kettle. Work desk area with table lamp. Multiple garbage cans in the room. Option to choose how often the room is cleaned for multiple-night stay. Huge public onsen with multiple pools and sauna rooms. Men-women sides alternate in the morning. Free flowing beer (afternoon/evening) and other drinks. Kids playarea. Spacious lobby with ample chairs and sofa. Kids-size yukata. Free parking just across the street. Facial cleansing amenities in the room.

Lighting too dim in the evening in parts of lobby, especially near drink/snack area and table where newspaper/magazines are provided. Need better signs and information sheets in different languages for guests emphasizing onsen etiquettes for small children. Some children were making excessive noise and splashing in the onsen.

Very spacious rooms and the onsens were great - large capacity, modern looking and kept super clean. The staff was also incredibly polite - they would greet you as you came in and left and with a smile. There’s also a lounge with free drinks and some treats for the guests. My husband and I had a great stay and I miss it already lol

The restaurant served many dishes that contained seafood - I would have preferred at least a few more non-seafood options

Fantastic dinner and breakfast buffet style. Food quality was exceptional and very wide in variety. Loved the onsen and the resort-like feel of the accommodation. Lots off freebies such as ice lollies after the onsen, drinks/sweets/snacks at a common relaxation area. Loved the spaciousness of the resort. And the staff were all so accommodating and springing up to extend help from the start, when we drove in and to the end.

Nothing. The excellent service, very beautiful and spacious room, breakfast, dinner, onsen experience were input into the costs. Not cheap but reasonable for what you get in total.
