A time warp! Think 1980s and maybe a bit Russian in style the decor was very well kept but a total blast. We embraced it! Our tatami and futon room was huge and very comfortable with a view of the Okhotsk Sea and the men's Onsen had about 10 pools and was very good. The dinner and breakfast buffets were overwhelming there was so much choice. The food was good but not spectacular. It was a great spot for accessing the Shiretoko national park we had a car and there is heaps of free parking. Shiretoko Steak house opp the World Heritage Centre on the main Rd served us an excellent steak the second night would highly recommend 👌

Nothing really. The decor was a blast from the past and the hotel is enormous but it was a fun experience for a couple of nights

The location was great and the onsen was very large and exceptional. The rooms are large and have great views of the ocean.

The dinner buffet was not great. They had a large variety of food options but if you don’t get there at 6pm right when they open (when it is super crowded), they run out of the more popular food options by 7pm. Also, some of the hot food just sits out for a while and does not stay fresh. They are not replaced. Breakfast was very good. We had to leave early one day and asked for breakfast to go since we paid for it. They gave us two plum onigiris. :( the beds are very hard.

Location was great and our room had a wonderful view of the ocean. The room was very large and spacious which was great when you carry suitcases. Hotel decor was lovely and we used the onsen each day which was very relaxing! Loved the shop in the foyer and great laundry facilities which is a bonus for travellers.

My only suggestion was to have 2 towels provided for each guest. We used our towel for the onsen but that didn't leave another if you wanted a shower.

We had a high-floor room and could see the sea from our large window. The view is breathtaking. The staff offered great assistance in reserving a restaurant for us on the day we arrived. There were many dishes to choose from (both for dinner and breakfast). The hotel is large with shops and onsens.

Due to the large number of customers, they only offered dinner if you ordered it three days before. When we arrived at the restaurant, they gave us a table very near the restroom and was far away from all the dishes. After our complaint, they changed seats for us (but still far away from the dishes). They should offer us seats closer to the dishes (we have a member who could not walk for very long).

The room was huge with a view of the sea and very comfortable. Onsens were open throughout the night and were the best I have been to. Games room and pool for children were great. Would reccomend to stay.

We went to see if we could check in 45min early. The hotel was dark everything was closed. Someone at reception said to come back at 3pm. We found it unusual for a hotel to be closed before check in time (even if early check in isn't an option). All was okay at 3pm though.

The hotel sits on a hill and a huge complex. We arrived after dark and they came to pick us up. A large Onsen with several kinds. Foods were very good and they had many choices. I think the hotel could have been more crowded if we had gone in September. We were able to catch a bus to Sapporo at the hotel.

We did not have our own car and we had to climb up the hill to get back to the hotel. They probably could come to pick us up but we walked anyway.

We stayed here for 2 nights in November 2023. The Japanese-Style Twin Room - Non-Smoking - West Wing, the room was tidy, very spacious and overlook the Sea of Okhotsk. Internationl and Japanese original dish in buffet breafast and dinner. Lots of choices and very delicious dishes. There are male and female Onsen, also you can book a private Open Air Onsen Bath. Onsite Hokkaido souvenir shops for shopping and tax refunds as a big bonus. We would denfinely stay here again if we go to Shari again.

The room is spacious, the surrounding areas very beautiful. We enjoyed the daily soak in the onsen. Breakfast and dinner were scrumptious and a delight.The hotel gave us compensation with a voucher as most of the onsen pools were under maintenance.

The hotel looks old and will benefit from an update.

Breakfast was outstanding with various choices. The hot bath, onsen was the best I have seen in Japan. So LARGE and many choices with a beautiful sunset from the outdoor pool. The desk clerk from Indonesia was SO helpful and friendly, I was impressed with her Native English and Nihongo. The free Violinist and Pianist recital on Sat night was impressive.

Getting from the lobby to my room 381 was a bit confusing even after the second day it was easy to get lost with all the columns and mirror s.

The room was very spacious. The hotel was set on a hillside and we were given a room on the top floor. The room was very spacious and nice and the beds were comfortable. Location was excellent as it was only a short drive to all the attractions. It was a pity the weather was not very good at the time we were there. The wind was so strong that the hotel swayed. We enjoyed the onsen very much. Buffet Breakfast and Buffet dinner were very good
