Excellent bathroom and room. Please note this is Japanese style so you'll sleep on the tatami mat. The pillows were not very soft. The bathroom is modern and clean. I tried the food there on a separate stay and the dinner was amazing. Breakfast was typical Asian with lots of rice related dishes.Western style breakfast or just pastry and coffee was very hard to find in the area in general. So I recommend the Family Mart for that kind of breakfast. This is just an FYI for westerners and not a complaint. The Asian style breakfast was huge and filling.

The dinner add-on was exceptional and high-value. Bath facilities were reasonable. The room was minimal but clean, and the centrality to the station and fish market was convenient. Where other guests mention noise trouble, since I was there in the shoulder season, the place was less crowded and noisy, so consider the timing of the trip with respect to noise levels.

You definitely feel the floor through the futon. Curiously, they provide razors but no shaving cream, so it’s a small extra cost at a convenience store. Breakfast was disappointing especially compared to the dinner.

Spacious room, tasty and filling dinner, location right across a Family Mart, free parking in front of the guesthouse. Overall, we'd stay here again!

Lack of English (written) communication prior to arrival - we were worried that we might not get our dinner since the latest check-in for those with dinner packages was listed at 17:00. Due to some delays, we got there around 18:20, but it was all fine and we got our food without issue!

The room was clean and the futon was comfortable. Overall a decent place. I would warn visitors that this location does tend to host youth groups that come through which makes it a little more noisy during dinner and non quiet times.

The room is a real ryokan experience, tatami mat and futon were super cozy and clean, the Onsen was a little small but it works for the tired body!

Maybe that the onsen did not have many features

The property is as described and well-cared for. I purchased breakfast and dinner and only wish I were a big eater. The preparation was excellent and reflective of place.

I would move the smoking area.

Very friendly family-run inn, and conveniently located close to the train station, a major bus stop and dining places. Although facilities like refrigerator, bathroom and shower rooms are shared, they are well-maintained, clean and supplied with necessary items.

Onsen was quite small and for evening use only so manage your expectation.

Mr Kenji and his wife are warm and lovely! The facilities are clean and thoughtfully laid out. The meals are sumptuous! A great place to stay esp for soli travelers.
