Fantastic Stay – Convenient, Clean & Thoughtful! I had a wonderful experience at this guest house and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! 1️⃣ Great Location: The place is super convenient—just a short walk from the station and close to major attractions. There’s even a Lawson convenience store nearby, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials. 2️⃣ Spotlessly Clean: The room and shared spaces were immaculate, which made my stay very comfortable. It’s clear that the host takes hygiene seriously! 3️⃣ Thoughtful Amenities: I was impressed by how well-stocked the place was—they provided everything from body lotion and makeup remover to deodorizing spray. These little touches made my stay so much more comfortable. 4️⃣ Smooth Unmanned Check-In: The self-check-in system was seamless and hassle-free. I arrived late at night, but the process was quick and easy—no stress at all! Overall, this guest house offers great value with its prime location, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Really nice and clean Hostel. I would say Hotel instead of Hostel actually when you wouldn’t take the shared bathroom in mind. Everything was clean, nice and comfortable! Easy communication with the Host and smooth check-in. Beds were also very comfortable and the property provides all the amenities that you need. Even rental bikes! If all hostels would be like this (and all guests would work together to keep everything clean) I wouldn’t mind staying in Hostels more often.

It was a bit strange to me that there was no door to the washing tables and that there were security cams installed in the public spaces (although I can imagine that sometimes It’s necessary when you have guests who misbehave) Other than that, everything was perfect!

The room and facilities are clean. The location is very good. It’s near the bus stop and the convenience store. And if you wake up early like me and there’s no bus at that time, you still able walk to the Shingu station. The hostel has 4 bicycles to be borrowed with no charge. You can ride it around the city.

There’s no elevator. The pillows are so firm and high. (I prefer flat pillow but there is no other option here) After check-out (10 am) you can’t leave your luggage at the hostel because there’s no staff available (There are limited coin lockers at the station). Maybe the hostel should provide english manual for the air-con remote control.

What an absolutely lovely place! The hostel is super modern and super clean! Check in is easy and the host is friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and the beds were comfortable. The hostel provided everything we needed, from water to pajamas, towels and even ear plugs. We were totally soaked from the rain, and most of our clothes were sweaty from hiking Kumano Kodo. But we could don the pajamas and throw everything into the washer/dryer. So convenient! The facilities were spotless, the shamoo and conditioner smelled lovely and there was even skin care in the washroom. I would definitely stay here again, hopefully a bit longer than just one night.

Very very clean, good location for Kumano-kodo. I felt like home. We also went to the restaurant Ajito and I loved the vibe and the food !! A real local izakaya with very fresh fish. You also have other good restaurants near the hotel. My room had a private balcony and also a washing machine on the balcony, it was very useful for my hiking. The hotel is quite small it is not crowded so it is very quiet. Thank you.

Convenient location with many good eating opportunities in the area. The room and facilities like the shower and lounge area were very clean and equipped with all necessities. Good starting point for traveling. 2 free parking lots are available which seems reasonable given there are only 4 rooms

I wished slippers were available in bigger sizes. Also, if you are traveling with a full sized suitcase, there is barely enough space in most rooms to open them

My wife and I stayed in the largest room on the third floor, and it felt much more like a hotel than a hostel. We had our own bathroom, shower, large balcony, and washing machine (detergent provided), but you need to pay for drying on the second floor. Everything was modern, new, and clean. Beds very comfortable. Check-in is with a keypad code and very straightforward.

Nothing we didn't like. Stairs are a bit steep, so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues.

Very clean and fairly new/well maintained accomodation. I have been to several shared bath accomodations and some have the weirdest setup that don't make sense. This place just does it. Bed is comfy and pillow has just the right height. There's proper hangers in the shower room, bins at the right spots, everything just makes sense so you'll be feeling like staying in a home instead of a hostel. Friendly and very helpful staffs to ease you through your stay and travel around the area.

The hostel is very clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had dinner at the izakaya run by the owner and had an excellent meal. Every thing is new and in good condition, and the doors lock automatically, so it is very secure.

The room was a bit small, there wasn’t much space to put luggage or hang clothes. Some wall hooks and a shelf would be helpful. I only stayed one night, so it really wasn’t an issue.

We were the first room to check in for the day and everything was very clean on arrival. Having laundry facilities was very convenient for us.

Check in message explaining we needed a pin was only sent on the day and I didn’t have internet access so didn’t receive it. It worked out OK but would be better if they made this clearer earlier on especially for Sunday check ins when there are no staff.
