We loved every minute of our stay at The Residences. The studio was spacious, comfortable, clean and surrounded by bird life. We had half board and the meals were excellent. Dinner was a choice of entree, main and dessert from the a la carte menu. We particularly enjoyed the fish dishes. All the staff were welcoming and professional. We made use of the gym, pool and sauna, and had lots of fun on the putting green. The Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens are opposite. Prices at the Karen Golf Club were more than reasonable compared to restaurants in the near vicinity. We will definitely be going back to this hidden gem.

We needed a rest after 3 weeks of missionary work and this place provided it for us. We were able to sit, relax and reflect on the trip. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. The club house is a very short walk, or have the staff drive you in a golf cart, and has great food at a great price. The location is great to other sites in Nairobi and easy to find.

I cannot think of anything that I would change. They provided everything promised and more. If someone finds fault, it is them not Karen. A must place to stay and we will return.

The hotel offers complimentary room service for dinner and the menu options from the club house restaurant are great value for money. I would especially recommend the Rib-eye steak and apple pie. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection and the service staff were very friendly. We will definitely make a point to visit the hotel again, whenever we are in the area.

Despite having fantastic panoramic views of the golf course beneath, the room has rather poor ventilation and the nights can get really hot. Be sure to crack open a window or two, before you turn in to bed.

Staff at The Residence very nice. We had 6 rooms and 4 had no Hot Water for 2 days, told it was fixed and was not. We were also on a package that included Breakfast (very poor variety, eggs, grilled tomatoes, beans & toast) no yogurt, cereal, pastry or fresh fruit. Dinner was another problem, food very good but service & communication on what was included for the package very poor. 3 of our rooms received charges for meals and water at check out. Location, Location fabulous. The grounds of the Country Club and SPA top notch. I would have rated higher if communication was better between hotel & restaurant.

Location in peaceful location within Karen, near to Giraffe center, the type of residence suits families, the staff were very polite and nice, the security level was on point, the design of the villa was very nice and view to garden was amazing. The gluten free cake recommended in pool cafe was very tasty.

Would like to see more variety of food and more quality in breakfast menu.

Very serene ambiance surrounded by birds was on a business trip long days out I always enjoyed a few minutes of silence in the garden before i started my day . I didn’t have time to explore the other facilities but will definitely be coming back

Well the check in process could be improved especially since it wasn’t our first time to the property it took almost 15 minutes just getting our booking details!

Beautifully designed. Spacious rooms. Top floor room had a pretty balcony perfect for cups of tea whilst listening to the birds and enjoying some morning or late afternoon sun. A lovely property in Karen - not far from Sheldrick Trust/Giraffe Center. Delicious breakfasts. Staff were really lovely and the gardens/grounds are stunning. You can walk up to the clubhouse for dinner/drinks and enjoy watching some golfers in action!

We stayed at the Residences before and after our safari. We really appreciated that the Residences allowed us to store our bags during our safari and day trip after checking out, and the breakfast that was brought to our room since we missed the buffet due to our early flight. We also loved going to the club restaurant and gym, and the golf carts that took our family members around the premises. Overall it was a lovely stay.

DINNER: ORDER FISH WITH RICE AND POTATOES. PARTIALLY COOKED STEAMED RICE. FISH WAS FRESH AND COOKED PROPERLY.

The service was quite bad. No one would lead me to the gym even though I asked several people. I ordered dinner and they asked 5 times what I wanted. When it came out, one thing was missing. Not a huge deal but when I went to check out, I said, oh btw, I never received that and instead of apologizing, they called to confirm I wasn’t lying! Go somewhere else!
