Had a view of the nearby library which was wonderful. I was able to leave the window open without getting the street noise and have fresh air in the room without using the AC. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful, along with the wonderful waitresses at breakfast which is a big reason I chose to have breakfast there instead of venturing out. Old school look of the hotel was great and I loved the architecture.

If you choose to pay at the hotel, they will scam you for an extra $25+tax hotel fee which they justify by free wifi (this is a basic requirement for a hotel in the 21st century) and a discount on an overpriced breakfast (for what you get, they could do better). The carpets in the room were clean but didn't feel clean barefoot so I had to put on socks when I got to my room.

The lobby and bar placement were great and the decorations were beautiful. The breakfast was good (but not worth $30 yeesh).

An extremely overpowering scent in the lobby - it was like breathing a Christmas candle and was choking for anyone sensitive to scents. My room was on the first floor and had a joining door that had no soundproofing. I was wakened at 6am every morning by my neighbor having conference calls (sorry about your layoffs), and kept up late past midnight by his South Park binges on TV. It was clean and well kept otherwise. The bar had three beer choices, all bad ones. Three.

well maintained property and fairly good location. pillow variety for a good sleep and adequate channels to drift off to sleep. breakfast energizes you for the day and staff helpful.

not many food restaurants around and the walk on a hot summers day for food can be exhausting. not everyone wants sandwiches for afternoon and evening. the lower floor rooms have no view and can be blocked by an imposing wall of the next building

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing. I loved the extra security of having to use your room key to get into the elevator and bathroom. It made us feel safe. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows, too. We loved every second of our stay!

$8 for a bottled water blew our minds a little. 🤣 They do give you a $10 credit everyday, tho, so that helped. ❤️

Excellent staff. Comfortable room. Location if you required access to downtown/Crypto arena for hockey

Valet only parking, and this was expensive, particularly when it is the next door garage that is used (using this is $18 compared to valet $54 plus tax). Also compulsory $30 destination charge, which is just a hike in room rate for little benefit

The breakfast was wonderful and the housekeepers . Also the location is fantastic, they have two metro stations very close and a lot of restaurants to choose from.

The rooms are kind of small, it was me and my partner, and we barely fit with our luggage. If you wanna use the service of laundry, they don’t delivery it till the room, you have to pick up at the front desk.

It was a great hotel, beautiful architecture. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the valet parking people.

Downtown Los Angeles is not a place I would want to be unless it was for business. The staff at Hilton Checkers do a great job of keeping you safe. Unfortunately, we will probably not go back because of the location. Also, your online pictures give the impression that the balcony is a cool restaurant, but we were told it's only available by private reservation. Very misleading.

Very comfortable room with fridge, nice coffee and lovely bathroom. Great location downtown, close to the Metro. The guys at the main entrance are really nice and friendly and gave great advice for travel info.

Would be nice to have a bottle of complementary drinking water in the room, especially arriving from a long trip.

Didn’t actually get breakfast. The printed times differed from actual times. The kind server let me have coffee and a muffin after they were put away. Parking valets very helpful. Receptionist very helpful except for explaining the Destination Fee

Good location, 10 min walking distance to Grand Central market, a lot of restaurants, shops, supermarkets nearby. Close to metro station. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.

wifi costs 10$. No complimentary water or coffee. rooms are a bit noisy (traffic from outside).
